The material is lightly stretchy and silky, likely nylon with a little spandex mixed in. The fabric itself is rather thin, and black, with reflective patches that feel slightly like vinyl. This gives the whole thing a flexibility while moving, though it can be challenging to keep the pants held up, as they tend to slip a bit. The sizing on these is standard for Chinese sizes. Those tend to run about 3 sizes smaller than US sizes, so be sure to check that before choosing a size to order. This suit is perfect for a costume. My husband wears an XL so that’s the size we purchased. The jacket fit perfectly, but the pants were really big around the waist, (husband has a 36 inch waist) but luckily it has belt loops so a belt worked. Length was good, too. These suits are so surprisingly nice. I bought one for a costume expecting it to not fit well and to get maybe just a couple wears out of it before it fell apart. It's actually cut like a suit and has held up just fine. The pants have buttons, zipper, belt loops. My husband has worn the rainbow one several times for fun events.
