The waist fit fine and the baggy was in the hips and legs, he'll probably end up cuffing them with some shoes as they are a little long and drape over. My 6'1" hubby, bought the size 36 and found the length to be wonderfully accommodating, which is necessary when the pant leg starts two inches wider than his actual thigh. Unfortunately, the fit everywhere else is reminiscent of wearing two denim sleeping bags tied together with a shoelace. He has achieved the ultimate throwback look, one that suggests he is currently skateboarding poorly and may be carrying several small mammals in his voluminous pockets. They are undeniably comfortable, offering a level of freedom of movement previously only known to competitive swimmers. However, the sheer volume of material hanging off the body creates a silhouette that is better left buried in the early 2000s time capsule. Walking in them requires an extra, cautious shuffle as the weight tries to drag them off your backside, and the noise they make is a crisp denim swish that sounds more like a rustling whisper of regret.
