BURGANDY 38" GOLD BUCKLE MAN'S DRESSS BELT. For seniors in the old days that color would be called Oxblood. Ordered, month or so passed & suddenly Amazon sent notice & wiped out the order--didn't just cancel but wiped out all mention so I could not even see what was ordered. Never had that happen before. A week or so passed decided to try again. This time arrived in 5-6 days. **I wanted brown but the brown looked too dark so I chose Burgundy--good choice as the color is dressy & goes with anything. It is a stiffer belt than what I had but it is supple enough for a belt. Some say it is not leather but it looks leather to me & is stamped as leather. Some say too short/ too long. Likely mismeasurement as the new belt was within 1/8 of an inch as my old belt at the same hole. Still I had ordered long so i was glad it has a double keeper to tuck the loose end under. As I said it has a smooth dress belt surface but in 2 months has shown no signs of cracking or crazing. or scuffing **4 things brought me back to this belt after ordering issues: It looks nice; it has an attractive price; it has some complaints but out of over 160 buyers has an 80% approval rating and I wanted a gold buckle & this was one of the few belts with a gold buckle. Now that I can see the buckle up close it looks as good as the picture and because it is nonmagnetic, I suspect it is Not brass plated scrap metal but polished sold brass, a preferred feature for durability & longevity as well as looks. **In short this is nice dressy looking belt, appears well made and has a classy gold buckle which has the appearance of polished solid brass. I highly recommend this belt. Read more
