This fragrance is what I imagine a rugged cowboy or rancher would wear when heading out for a night in town. It has a rugged yet refined scent that starts out a little sweet but mellows into a more musky, earthy finish. Personally, I think it smells good — masculine without being overpowering — but my wife absolutely despises it, which was a definite bummer. I also haven’t gotten many compliments while wearing it, which makes me think it might not project strongly or last as long as it should. Either that, or it’s just not everyone’s cup of tea. Overall, it’s not a bad fragrance by any means — it’s unique and balanced — but since my wife isn’t a fan, it’s not one I find myself reaching for often, and at the price point, not one I would be buying again. I passed this cologne on to my friend, and we both ended up liking it a lot. It has that warm, slightly old-fashioned “Western” feel people mention, but I’d describe it as more highwayman than cowboy in that it feels confident, refined, and just a little bit romantic. That may just be my whimsical side though. Either way, it was very attractive to me. The scent reminds me of some of the more artistic indie essential oil blends I’ve loved in the past. It's rich, layered, and a little storybook in how it develops. It opens bright with bergamot and juniper before settling into something woodsy and smooth with a hint of spice. It’s masculine without being harsh, and it lingers nicely through the day without overwhelming. The bottle looks sharp, the scent feels timeless, and the price for 3.4oz (for those more used to that sort of measurement for perfumes who may be looking at this as a gift) is exactly what I'd expect. I quite like the scent o this 1930 Crimson men’s fragrance. I think it a good value as it is a full sized bottle, nice heavy glass, an excellent atomizer, and smells expensive. The presentation is also very nicely done and would make an excellent gift. The opening is bold and a little peppery, it then mellows a bit and becomes a warm, slightly sweet scent- it reminds me of a really nice cognac. I tried it out on my partner for date night since it was a special occasion. Initially, I only wanted to spray a tiny bit to try out the scent, but the spray mechanism was stiff at first use so he ended up getting the full spray amount. The scent is strong initially, but it quickly mellows out. I actually liked how subtle the scent was, and it wasn't overbearing. The product is super durable too. The combination of essences that comprises this cologne offer a very uniquely warm scent, the bergamot and cedarwood in addition to the other components are woodsy as well they are pleasantly light and herbaceous. Not overpowering compared to some Musk colognes! My Wife really liked it, she couldn't help but to hug me and inhale the essence. I just put this on and my spouse (across the room) just said "I can smell that from here!" Until this scent, I didn't know that one could have a masculine scent that could be both woodsy as well as sweet. I'm less a fan of the sweetness. While I am unlikely to use it personally on myself, I think this would make a good offering on my altar. With as much as they sent, this will keep me in the good graces of spirits for years! The media could not be loaded. This is really great smelling men’s perfume. The scent is natural, rugged, and doesn’t overwhelm my senses. The smell of it is incredibly attractive. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the product is made in the USA, in Texas, and has a list of ingredients I can read. It comes in a nicely protective outer container with a foam base. It would make a nice gift. It comes in a very generous supply, being 100 ml. The spray mist functions well. Overall, is an excellent quality product and reasonably priced in my opinion.
