Nice casual cotton pants

I ordered these for a friend of mine with a large potbelly but a pretty average body otherwise and was just guesstimating that the 3X would fit him. It does fit pretty well but on the loose side, and he can pull them up over his stomach so that the waist doesn't rest around his groin, and then wear a t-shirt that covers the waistband that goes up over the belly. I know this area can be conundrum for men and you are either going to have a plumber butt or pants pulled up so high that you look Humpty Dumpty when your shirt is tucked in. This has a long enough crotch that you can get away with pulling them up pretty high and no one will see it! Looking at the size chart in the fifth photo of the product page, the 3X is for a 40" waist and a 54" hip. I've never met a man with those proportions--the hips are definitely smaller than the waist on most biological males, but I wasn't paying attention to the hip measurements when I ordered this. I would guess that my friend has 35" hips and at least a 50" inch waist. It does have a drawstring waist so it can be tightened to some extent, and there's also a gathered elastic back, so I think the sizes are quite forgiving. Just know that 3X is probably not quite as big as you're used to. The legs are tapered at the end, but not tight. My friend is about 5' 10" with slightly short legs, and these are just a tad long. But because they are tapered somewhat they don't drag on the ground. I imagine that they will shrink slightly in the first wash and still fit fine. The "white" that I ordered is a bit more ivory, and the tag says 100% cotton, not linen. But it does have the nubbly look of linen. They are nice light summer pants and my friend really liked them, and I thought they were a stylish change from his other casual garb. Read more

Lost a star due to buyers error when washing!

These are some of the best pants I purchased for my husband to wear post op. The only reason they lost a star is that they shrank in length sometime in the third or forth week of wearing. I am usually very careful to make sure the washer and dryer settings are set on cool wash and cool dry but there must have been an error on that day. I did still manage to treat them like a sweater, stretching them out to dry flat, and he did get more wear out of them for a short time. Read more

They're not anything special, but I'll wear them

The first thing I do when receiving clothing, is look at the stitching. These pants had one long thread hanging from the bottom of the left leg. Not a problem, clip it off; but it tells me something about quality. The linen fabric felt "scratchy" when I first put them on, but I soon got used to it. I ordered size large in black. I'm about five-eleven and weigh about 175. The length is just right. The waist is tight, but that says more about my girth than the pants; I'm glad they're elasticized. These pants obviously are more suited to younger, more svelte men than I am in my later years. I'm wearing them now, and I'm not uncomfortable. The front pockets are shallow; I'm unlikely to put anything of value in them. The back pocket is deeper; nearly all of my large cellphone fits. I like that there's a zippered fly; I usually wear sweatpants when I'm home alone, and those don't. I'll wear these pants around the house and might even wear them out on my weekly trip to the grocery store. Overall, I think these pants are okay, although a bit pricey. Read more

Comfortable

I took a chance on these pants because I was looking for something very comfortable to wear around the house on my days off especially in the summer months I also heard about the effects of Lennon on the human body in the frequencies that are produced from different materials when I contacted the human body and I have to say that not only is this product comfortable it washes well the fit and finish was excellent and it fits true to size. Overall I'm happy with these pants and recommend them to anybody that's into being comfortable and wearing something that's breathable and relaxing just to sit around the house and if you have the appropriate attire to go with it then of course you could probably wear it out but I'm not trying to do that LOL I do however fill peace I'm wearing it like I'm at peace. I have a linen shirt that I wear with it and I think having something that's not mingled with another material is helping with my well-being. Give it a try I think you'll like it Read more

Comfortable and stylish, but sizing can be tricky.

I got these linen pants for casual wear, and they’re really comfortable. The material feels lightweight, breathable, and perfect for summer days. I got the beige color, and it’s nice enough that I’ve worn them out for dinner. The elastic waistband and drawstring make it easy to adjust, which is great because I like a looser fit. One thing to keep in mind is that these pants run a bit small. I usually wear a medium, but after reading the reviews, I decided to size up, and the large fits much better. The pants have a nice drape and don’t wrinkle as badly as some other linen pants I’ve owned. I’ve even used them for lounging around the house—they’re that comfortable. The only downside is the inconsistent sizing, so I recommend checking the size chart carefully before buying. Other than that, they’re a solid addition to my wardrobe! Read more

Runs ridiculously small!

These look like really nice casual pants. I was torn about ordering wither a medium or large - I'm 6'3 with a 32" waist and 32" inseam. Based on the drawstring waistband and "loose fit" notation, I chose a medium. These are about 8 inches too short for me - and about 8 inches short of the listed length of a medium. The waist size is also way too small. I stretched it as much as I could and it was maybe 29". It's possible these pants were mislabeled, but that's still a problem. I couldn't wear them, so I let my 5'1" petite-framed wife try them and they are not a bad fit - they could use an inch taken up int he length and they are a bit baggy, but otherwise they will make goo lounge pants for her.
