I have a trip to Mexico planned, and thought that these may be a nice pair of 'lounge' pants to have on hand at the resort. Turns out, I was right. They look great, feel great and fit great! And regarding the look, it's nice to have something that 'pops' a little more than just standard 'joggers' or sweat pants. Also, a 'durable' draw string, not a shoelace jammed in there with cheap plastic caps. (These aren't capped, actually - if that matters to you.) I recently got turned onto the Herberton branch of clothing and they have proven to be very good for me. The styling of their men's tops, sweaters and pants have all been very nice. This latest piece I got was the textured knit pants and I am not disappointed. I have a small collection of linen pants since they are great for the summer, are light and they are comfortable lounging at home, at the beach or on a cruise. I get the same satisfaction from these pants as I do my linens. The knit feel is amazing and the pockets are capable of holding my phone and wallet without overly stretching. Note that these are thicker than linen type pants so they do have more warmth to them, so these could be good when the weather cools down outside or if the indoor environment is cooler. They are so soft and comfortable feeling against my skin and it drapes extremely well. The pants stretch and do not bind at all. They bottoms are wider and more relaxed which gives it a flowy feel. The waist strap is long so you will have a nice sized bow at your waist when tied, but it still looks good. I have a 30inch inseam and 36inch waist and the pants are a smidge longer than my other pants. I am guessing it's the weight of the knit fabric that pulls down and stretches it long a bit. I just pull the pants up a bit more and they are fine. These look great with flip flops or sandals as well as white sneakers. The brown knit version I got gives off a natural bohemian vibe that is unique. The fit and finish of the sewing is good with no bad stitching or seams. These pants have some weight to them! They’ll definitely keep you warm. They also have a lot of texture due to the pattern. They may run a little bit big, especially width wise. My partner is 6’ and they’re plenty long enough for him. They would work for someone a couple inches taller too. He mostly wears these around the house. They definitely look like loungewear in my opinion. They’re currently about $26 which is a great deal! Herberton is a reliable brand that makes quality garments.
