We live in a town that celebrates pirate invasion every year. It's important to build a strong pirate wardrobe because pirate season as a variety of events that last nearly a month. This one is a great quality shirt in a color that my husband doesn't have in his wardrobe yet. It washes well but I hung it to dry because I don't want to trust that it will not shrink. My husband has a 48-in chest and very broad shoulders. I ordered the XXL for him and it fits very nicely. I like the fabric a lot. It feels like a medium weight linen cotton blend. The soccer is breathable without being sheer. This is a big improvement over similar style polyester shirts he's had in the past. I like the quality and it certainly a good value. Shirt is exactly as described. The size fits as it should. I was looking for a pirate shirt and this fits the bill. The sleeves aren’t as billowing as you typically see that that’s what I was looking for. Shirt material is scratchy but softened after washing- albeit a thinner material. A very nice shirt, for any time period, not just the pirate era. Stitching is tight. Does come with some loose threats you need to cut but that is not a sign of poor craftsmanship, just mass production. Has a rolled-up sleeve strap for a cool look. The material is soft without an undershirt. If you click on the "Visit the TAFLE Store" you're going to be shocked that this little factory is producing such nice clothes. The biggest problem with Americans is they usually buy clothes for their brand name, so you see TAFLE as the brand on Amazon and decide to skip past it. But I gotta tell you, they have amazing clothes with really modern styles. You're getting a fair Amazon price BECAUSE the brand name is unknown to you. But that is the only reason. This is a high quality shirt, not only for wearing, but for taking to the costume shop. The fabric is thick and stiff, which adds to its historic accuracy. It can easily be worn casually by either a man or a woman. This will be a garment the residents of this house will fight over. The fit is accurate, with a bit of extra room for ease of movement. Because the fabric is heavy, it's quite warm. The sleeves can be rolled up partially and buttoned in place with a fabric tab, which is very useful. It's a decent weight, feels nice on the skin, and looks like a linen pirate shirt. The sizing is a little small, or I should say, go up a size to be safe around the midsection. The laces are a decent length, so you can adjust the front closure somewhat. And the sleeve rolls up nicely and hangs well if you use the included cuff buttons to adjust your sleeves.
