This purchase was a gamble but the gamble paid off! Not being familiar with the brand I was hesitant to purchase this jacket, but the reviews were positive so I took a chance. This jacket is excellent! The jacket is very, very nice! It fits well. I purchased an 3X. My brother-in-law is 6’ 3” and 249 lbs. This jacket has been tested in temperatures in the high teens with winds at about 10 mph and my brother-in-law reports that it kept him very warm. He is a big and tall man, but the sleeves were long enough and the shoulders gave him full range of motion. It is comfortable and not too heavy. He loves the zippers on the pockets, the removable hood, the adjustable cuffs and bottom hem of the jacket and the ability to machine wash it. These features set this jacket apart from others of its kind. Other jackets don’t have zippers on the pockets and can’t be machine washed. The ability to zip the pockets closed and know nothing is going to fall out is very important. The ability to machine wash it is also very important as my brother-in-law is an active person and interacts in the outdoors doing various activities and gets his clothes soiled. Hand washing it or taking it to a commercial cleaner is not something he would ever do. The jacket is well made and looks very nice. It hasn’t been tested as far as being waterproof, but it looks like it is adequately water resistant. I highly recommend this jacket! It is well made, fits well and has some very nice features. For context about this review, I purchased this jacket for riding my motorcycle in the PNW winter. That is all I got it for. It is NOT safety gear in ANY way, shape or form! It is just an outer layer jacket to provide warmth, wind protection and rain protection, worn over my leather gear. I wanted something that is cheap, warm, and windproof so I could ride on cool or cold days in the Pacific Northwest. And this jacket performs perfectly for this task. I don't usually ride in the rain so while it is also waterproof, that was not my checklist of needs but it does have that extra benefit. I've used it in temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s while riding at freeway speeds for over an hour and it was plenty warm and comfortable. I was not expecting too much for the price paid but I am delighted in the results. I got one size larger than normal to ensure it fits over my riding jacket and that worked perfectly. It's roomy but doesn't flap in the wind at all. This jacket wildly exceeded my expectations, especially for the price paid. A couple of notes: this is not a super high quality mountaineering jacket, which I have many of. But it's also one tenth the price. So I am very careful with zippers, etc. I will note that this jacket has a plastic, generic Vislon-style of zipper (not the name brand Vislon) and for those who don't know, this IS the type of jacket zipper you want. Plastic zipper rarely break or jam; metal coil zippers are the ones that typically fail. I think if I am careful, this jacket will prove to be plenty durable for my use case. So if you are a winter rider and want warmth and wind protection to wear over your protective riding gear, this jacket is highly recommended. It's great for everyday use as well but just be gentle with the fasteners and remember that it is a very inexpensive jacket. It's also a nice looking jacket that you won't mind wearing around town. Very stylish, warm, blocks wind, quality is great, lightweight, has plenty of pockets. It is water resistant and you can wear it in snow as well. I bought it around 2 months ago. I wear it every day in New York and I don't feel cold no matter how much time I stay outside. It even protects your neck. I have even worn it on a trek and even when the rest of my friends were shivering, I was perfectly fine, thanks to this jacket. I wasn't sure about this at. Thinking I should purchase a coat from a store. Definitely glad I ordered it. It fits comfy and there's also snaps inside at the bottom that you can snap to make it snug so air doesn't flow up underneath when you're walking. The sleeves can be tightened around your wrist nicely and the hood has a pull string that locks in place keeping the wind out. No need for a sharf you can close it up around your neck as much as you want. It's very soft and comfortable to wear. Read more
