I’ve been using the MERACH Rowing Machine for a while now and I’m honestly really glad I bought it. I wanted something that didn’t feel like a chore to use, and rowing ended up being way more fun than I expected. It’s smooth, quiet, and doesn’t take up a ton of space, which is perfect for home workouts. What I like most is that it’s a full-body workout without feeling like you’re destroying your joints. After a few weeks of using it consistently, I started noticing real changes — especially in my core. I didn’t even buy it specifically for abs, but rowing works your core every stroke, and it shows. My stomach is tighter and I’ve got more definition than I’ve had in years. It feels sturdy, easy to set up, and the tracking features help keep me accountable. It’s one of the few pieces of equipment I actually stick with instead of letting it collect dust. If you want something simple that actually works and gives real results, I’d definitely recommend it. This is my first rowing machine and I’m loving it. First the packaging was insane. I swear it took me forever to get all the parts out. Between styrofoam and tape everything was totally secured which was good for shipping. Putting it together it took me about 30-45 minutes. I just went slow to make sure was putting things together the right time. There were some confusions I had to really make sure I was doing it correctly but I’m a female and had no issues. At first when I got on it I was like this thing isn’t going to work out my body. Resistance felt easy lol. Yeah. I was wrong. I rowed a few strokes and felt my legs burning. And realized because of the compound movement in proper form it combines many things together. Spend time time really watching videos of your form and technique and if you can place some mirrors around you or video to watch. If you don’t row in proper form you can hurt your body over time. The seat I found ok, but thankfully I had ordered a gel pad for it as my butt would get sore like my muscles would hurt on my seat bones. Putting this pad on helps. But be careful getting a pad too high. Then it puts you out of position. Even though this isn’t like the more expensive ones I chose this one because the starting point for your hands is at least for me the right height. And is more importantly further away from my body than my feet which puts your body at the right angle. If you are a taller person not sure but I know I’m flexible so again I didn’t want my handle grips to literally start and stop at the exact same vertical angle of my feet and stopping point of the seat. Not sure if saying this right but it’s like the handle is a few inches more “forward” than your feet plates which allows you to end your stroke with that proper leaning forward angle. The sound of the machine is quiet. Not 100%. If you really start rowing you hear clicks at time and rowing sound as the seat slides back and forth. But nothing crazy and I can talk on phone lol if I had to. My only complaint is the screen. It’s so hard to read the screen because it’s so dark. Since I’m a person that has to wear reading glasses to see things now up close the print size of the things on screen are tiny so if I want to truly know each thing I have to put on my reading glasses. Hard to do when rowing. And because the black type to the darker grey background almost blends together super super tough. My only big complaint. Wish it was backlit and easier to understand and see while rowing. Been rowing every other day for 20 minutes. And have been watching myself on my Apple Watch actually improve using the indoor rowing setting and it tracks your rowing intensity. So I can see I’m improving. I can also tell because my leg muscles are sore the next day - not bad. But I can tell I’m truly getting a good full body workout! But I’m loving it. As one that gets super board on treadmills and bikes and so forth, I feel because this truly engages your entire body and you have to always think about your rowing technique it keeps my mind busy. I think this machine was totally worth the cost. And I’m glad I got it. Did weeks of research before getting it. Was going to get the Merach one that looked like the Concept 2 rower but with costing so much more and never having rowed before I wasn’t sure if I would like it and felt down the road maybe I will upgrade. But for now I’m really happy with this purchase. Although bummed. It had been on sale and I also had a discount off choice but waited too long scared to buy one and that sale ended and I ended up paying $140 more. But still worth it and was still somewhat on sale when I bought it. Read more

Solid build, but it really wants you to connect to apps that you have to subscribe to. All in all a decent quality rower, not too difficult to assemble. Read more

I did a lot of reading and research before deciding on this machine and I'm glad I did. I chose this one because it was comparable to the others but was quiet enough to have in a place that wouldn't disturb others. This really is a good beginner rower because it allows you to work on your form and build up core strength. The resistance is really nice for a beginner and offers enough for a solid workout. I am 6'2", 225 lbs and have no issues with it in any way. It doesn't tip or feel cheap in any way and seems like it will last a long time. This really is an excellent rower for someone getting into it for the first time and/or looking for an affordable, quiet option. Read more

Love this rowing machine! We got the manual resistance adjusting model to reduce reliance on electronics that can sometimes fail. I was concerned about getting a machine that would have ample resistance for both myself and my husband. We are active & strong individuals, so I was afraid of having a machine without enough resistance. However, this machine pleasantly surprised us with its resistance! It is well built and sturdy. Quite easy to put together. I love its compact size when in use and its ability to fold up (or stand up) to be out of the way when not in use. Some reviews complained about the seat, but we have not found it to be an issue. This is a solid machine that I'd recommend to a friend. Read more

I'm a week in and very pleased with the product. It arrived in a fairly small box, with some extreme level of 3D tetris packaging, but it was easy to assemble and included all the necessary tools. So far, the quality seems very good, with no obvious defects. The footprint is pretty unobtrusive and sleek. Operation is very smooth, and the seat glides well. Some people mention that the seat is harder than they would like, but I haven't found it to be uncomfortable. The display is basic but functional. I believe there is advanced metrics in the app, but I haven't explored that in depth yet. Tension is easy to adjust via the control panel, the handle bar, or the app. The unit is also very quiet, and I am able to watch TV at a normal volume level and still exercise comfortably. Maybe it was my oversight, but I was under the assumption that it did not require any power source, but this model does actually have a power adaptor for the lighting and control panel. The only real issue here is that it may impact your placement of the unit to ensure you have access to power. If you're in the market for an inexpensive home rower, I think you will be pleased with this product. Read more
