I'm updating my original review after further testing. I'm changing it from a 2-star to a 4-star rating. I initially was only getting 0.5a charge rate but found out that there must have been a compatibility issue with my USB tester. I tried a different tester and was able to get about 2.3a @5v using this adapter. This is a respectable charge rate. The adapter will not support 9v charging for my iPhone 14 pro though (see attached photos). Only 5v charging. Not a huge deal but still worth noting. Overall, this is a good buy for the price. The unit is very finnicky with USB cables. If one doesn't work, then try another. Also, very good customer service. Very happy with the correspondence I had with the seller about this adapter. original review below __________________________________ I purchased these adapters to hopefully carry less cords with me when I travel. Unfortunately, the charging speed using this adapter is very slow. I have a iPhone 14 pro and had the battery down to about 25% before testing the charging speed. I hooked up my USB tester to a high-quality USB-C cord, then inserted the adapter. I then plugged it into my iPhone. The charging speed i got was only 5v @1 amp. So, 5 watts. I tried reconnecting all wires, trying different wires, etc and the best i could get was 5 watts. I also tried different adapter to make sure one of the units was not defective. All results were the same. In summary, the charging speed is not very good although it does seem to charge fine at a slow rate. I would look elsewhere if higher charging speed is needed. Read more
