I have no problem with the cart, however I was disappointed with UPS when it came to the shipping.(Holidays). But I will not hold that against MGI. The unit is nice and works as advertised, I have not been able to play a round of golf yet, but I was able to test it outside, the GPS works fine and it looks great. The remote functions are easy to navigate and worked well, it's very easy to steer and the other accessories are nice as well. I have an Alphard V2, but this cart I have to admit is very well constructed. The rear wheels are truly all terrain It's not cheap but hopefully it will be worth the money. I previously had an MGI Zip Navigator that decided to take a swim. I had it a couple of years and never had an issue with it, so decided to replace it with the newer AI version. As much as I liked my previous cart, this one is much better. It appears to fold up into a smaller package, and is much easier to fold/unfold. The GPS screen is accurate on the courses I’ve played (as verified by a Garmin GPS watch), and the accessories from my prior cart fit this cart (seat, drink holder, etc.). The newer remote takes a little getting used to, but all is good with this very well built cart. Now, if only it had a geofencing, it would be exceptional. A couple of other notes. The software works great on my iPhone, and an earlier review indicating a noisy motor appears to be a result of the 5th wheel not being unfolded. It lies under the motor and will make noises while the cart is in motion if not deployed. Read more
Returning the first one, hopefully the second one will not have the same issues. It has a problem folding closed immediately after a round is played. Have needed to remove the wheels to be able to fit in trunk unfolded to take home from the course. After a few hours tried to fold closed again and it closed easily. Only happens after it has been working for a few hours. Contacted customer support of MGI and the only reply was to email me a promotion video that shows it folds. Concerned with what happens after the Amazon return window passes and any issues arise in the future. Big hassle returning item with Seller (Sport +), they tried to retain a 50% restocking fee. It arrived well packaged in a single box. The quick start instructions were easy to follow and assembly was easy for a one person assembly. It found the wifi and downloaded and uploaded information as it should. On the golf course, it tracked slightly to the left. This was quickly corrected as per the instructions. Using it on a course that has many hills, I found that even on hillsides it would track straight. It would also maintain the set speed even when traveling down hill. On some of the steeper uphill slopes, it did slip some as it tilted back on the retractable rear wheel. This was especially true if there was any moisture from dew or rain on the grass. I found that assisting it with a slight push helped here. It did not require any strength to do this, but only a minimal assistance. The functions were easy to use. Saving the round was a bit of a challenge but now that I have it figured out, it has become easier. Battery life after 18 holes on this hilly course was 90% and the remote was 85%. When engaging the drive, it begins on speed "4". I have found that it is comfortable to walk with it at speed "8" to "10". Speed increases are in increments of 2. When in reverse, there is only one speed and it typically does not move in a straight line in reverse but follows the topography. You should use the reverse only in short increments. This MGI is a work horse! I am happy I purchased & it makes walking the 18 hole course easier! The response from the remote control is very good. The only concern I have is the stop button on the remote wears out quickly and sometimes not responding. If you enjoy walking the course and tired of pushing I recommend this! Read more
Nice cart to free your hands playing golf. The only problem I see is folding it down and lifting and keeping in the car sometimes my fingers get between the wheels and the folding parts. I also wish there is a little more gap between the motor and the ground so we can play in a little more in winter & not risk the motor underside getting wet. Read more
I have to say, if I could do it all over, I wouldn't. I really should have done more research before purchasing this cart. I don't believe it's worth $2,000. It definitely isn't suited for my course. I live in southern Arizona and play a desert course. There is a lot of dirt and rocks between the tee boxes and fairways, which makes it very annoying when this cart, with its hard, wide wheels, bounces all out of whack while trying to get to the fairway. Turning can be a challenge. Sometimes it works pretty well, but most of the time it jumps left or right when trying to adjust the path. I don't use the GPS. I tried when I first got it, but it really isn't very intuitive so I use my phone with "18 birdies". I had this for only a month or so when the left motor started whining real loud. I contacted MGI and sent them a video. They had me box it up and send it to them. I delivered it to Fed-Ex on Tuesday and had it back on Saturday with a "new" motor. I give them props for that. A very risky Christmas gift for my husband. He is very sensitive about his age (77) and walks the course 3 or 4 times a week. I pushed the idea that with this, all the electronics were immediately at his fingertips. He admitted that typically he could tell he was tired by the last 2 holes. First time out, all his friends were telling him they want one but were waiting to see one at work. He has used it three rounds and admits he is less fatigued after 18 holes! Read more
