I have a hard time describing scents, but I am picky—and I enjoyed this. At first I thought it was a feminine scent and didn't think twice when I saw the red bottle even though it clearly said "homme." I just wasn't thinking. With that said, I think it would work fine on a female too-- it's not a noticeably male scent or anything, if that even exists. It's not too sweet of a scent, but it does have a sweetness to it that also comes with some earthy tones which creates a nice mix, but also is a very intense scent. It's playful... like it's got an intense pull to it- like it's at first sweet, but later has a earthy scents that makes you want to lean in and smell more of it just to kind of double check what it actually. It's like the more you smell it, it lingers and you want to be bathed in it! So I guess that creates the "sexual" part of it? I can kind of make out the bergamot and perhaps the sandalwood and the sweetness that comes from green apple? I think it's a good quality scent, as it really lasts! It lasts the whole day; it really is perfume. I can't say much about the price, as it's super expensive, but if you like it, then it's definitely worth itit. Read more

So, I've been studying perfumery and practicing the art for about 2 years now. I've learned a lot about both the materials and business side of the industry. Before I get into the experience, I'll say that I think this is a high quality fragrance, but it's insanely overpriced. Cheap plastic cap, and seams on the glass bottle. Deceptive marketing about oud - (If this had any REAL oud, they'd be talking about it all over the marketing) First off, I'll say that this is a really interesting and different take on a commercial masculine fragrance. It's fruitier, sweeter, softer than most the intense, rough, and loud woody ambers out there, which I appreciate a lot. I actually quite like how this one smells and evolves over time. Opens soft, bright, with citrus with pink pepper for more citrus lift and black pepper for gentle spicy warmth. Dries down with a nice warm musk base and then some woody amber notes begin coming through. I think I detect some Amber Xtreme and Operanide, both IFF materials which is where this was perfumed. Not overdone, and I really like it. This absolutely has zero real oud in it. It's like, a hint at a synthetic oud accord with zero of the animalic, funky, harsh oud notes which come with the real thing. The marketing does a good job at talking about oud without saying there's any oud in this, which makes the price even more insane. The box is also not labeled for sale outside NA. It doesn't list allergens in the ingredients, so we have no way to know what's actually in this. That said, other than this being incredibly overpriced, I actually do really like how this is a unique take on woody masculine scents. Read more
