Microsoft Refurbished Xbox Core Controller - Carbon Black Renewed

So after a fateful encounter with the Holy Cow level in Katamari Damacy my old Xbox controller decided to part with this world in the form of the trigger stopping mid Cow. I didn't even realize I had purchased a refurbished controller. As a prior game store employee I know this process well and tend to not trust a company to do a good job after getting so many in that were a wreck. And then I get it. And it doesn't work... Like, at all. The power is not powering. The batteries weren't working. Luckily I'm stubborn and refuse to just send things back unless I have to. Turns out the metal strips the batteries are supposed to touch are missing. Or, more like the person that "refurbished" it literally closed the case on top of them crushing them inside the controller. So batteries couldn't activate. So I bent them back, and it works flawlessly. As much as I want to give it a lower rating for literally being refurbished incorrectly and potentially destroying it by doing that, it still works. It looks good, even though there a a couple scratches (once again likely from the person "refurbishing" it as they are on the sides where you have to pop off that casing with the sharp plastic tool). I have had no issues with it, so I'll stick with a 5 in hopes that this person learns how to not damage the controller when working on it. Oh, and I finally got the Holy Cow achievement. Read more

The end user would never know that the item is refurbished. It looks exactly and feels exactly like a brand new one. The original black has always been my favorite. It works well with my Windows, PC and laptop. Read more

Stick drift right out of the box Read more

Received the core controller as described. Excellent condition. Good as new, item does not show any sign of use. The box wasnt new(scracthed and crumpled). Most important , no analog stick drift! Read more
