I bought this back in July with some graduation money and loose change I'd saved up. Came in the original packaging with everything promised, works great almost a year later. I even bought a hard drive for it (don't buy one with the Xbox logo on it; too expensive when you can get a larger drive at a better price) and I haven't had issues with them connecting whatsoever. Only complaint here is my controller wasn't working so great, but I'd bought another anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. Works fine now. I bought it again at a slightly lower price for my brother in February, and while it coming with games wasn't advertised, the seller I chose this time sent Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Rare Replay in its original packaging. Ori and the Blind Forest came as well, but as a digital download. This Xbox came in its box as well, cords wrapped up and all, and works flawlessly, controller included. I got both consoles from two different sellers, and definitely not the one Amazon puts up in the search results. Recommend that you take a scroll through the list of other sellers; you're much more likely to get a better deal from there. Never spent more than $180 on either console. All in all though, the Xbox One is definitely a great catch at these prices. Highly recommended! Read more

I bought the xbox one for my parents and they love it. They wanted one after seeing my xbox one s. My mom says she plays it everyday and my dad plays after work. It is easy to use and simple to setup. My parents are 54 years old and they have no trouble using this system. Read more

Got this only for three games specifically that are console-exclusive. I wasn't too keen on buying it but ended up doing so anyway. I'm happy with it and the only issue I had was that the controller was broken, but I was issued a refund to buy another and I ended up getting an afterglow controller. Customer service was very friendly and generous about it. Overall, it seems to be a pretty good console and nothing was broken other than the controller. Graphics are amazing but the only downside are those loading times... but they're a one-time thing so once you get the games you want installed you're good to go. Read more

My son loves it! If you are upgrading from an XBOX 360, make sure you have good internet. The XBOX One needs lots of updates and requires downloads for almost every game. Read more

This was bought on a warehouse deal so keep that in mind. I got the Xbox in the mail with everything in tact, no holes or anything in the packaging. I opened the box and there was 1 controller, 1 xbox console and 1 power cord. I'm not sure if anything else normally comes with it but it was obviously used with minor scratches on the console and controller. Everything looked okay until it came to actually using it.. Which I couldn't do on account of the controller not working at all. Nothing worked after trying different ways to put batteries in, switching out for different pairs, plugging directly into the console, etc. Like I said earlier, this was a used console from a warehouse deal. Once I get a working controller I'm sure it'll be alright, but either way having a controller not work straight from the box totally sucked. Read more

I've not ever felt compelled to write such a negative review for any of my many Amazon purchases over the years but the setup experience was a nightmare. To start, we didn't get what we ordered. We deliberately chose not to get the adult level games. This was a gift for our son. Then even though the plan was to play games strictly off line there was no way to avoid a 380GB update. This crashed twice before completing and the very manipulative MS interface was defaulting to adding monthly subscriptions and filling your email box with unwanted notices. No clear instructions on how to use the controller to provide keyboarded information. (Found assistance through YouTube video) Had to morph my Skype account into a Skype/Microsoft account. Then with this finally done, the hockey game itself had a lengthy update right out of the box and the controller too! Clearly Amazon must stock dated consoles on the shelf or the product is so poorly programmed up front it requires an absurd number of patches. Will have to use the complicated parental control interface to keep the Gold subscription from being in front of my child's face every time he plays a disc game. One might argue shouldn't have considered if not interested in online component. I say make that more clear on the packaging - Box states "internet compatability" not must use Internet to install. Would strongly NOT recommend for a family purchase. Read more
