OEM match component. Microwave oven works like new.
This is an OEM match for our over-the-range microwave oven. A few days ago, we were met with an arcing sound when we pressed the "start" button on the microwave, which we knew to be a call for repair or replacement of the appliance. Because there's some custom carpentry needed to mount a replacement for the microwave, we elected to take down and remove its cover to see if the failure had an obvious cause. The magnetron had burned and blackened area on its electrical connector. We found that we could obtain this replacement, so we ordered the replacement and installed it. SUCCESS! And, the new magnetron provides a small but noticeable increase in power, about 110 Seconds to heat a drink that previously took about 120 Seconds. We have experience in similar kinds of repairs, so we did not feel that this was beyond our skill. Pictures show the old, failed magnetron, and the new one. Read more
Check for Blow fuses also.
worked great. Installed a while ago. The only thing I would recommend is make sure you check the fuse going to the high voltage copastor. I am guessing when these things short out it blows the fuse. on my GE model it was inside of the white case. took me a minute to figure out why it was not working. the main board fuse was fine. thanks for a great replacement part saved me hundreds on a new microwave.
