The seat has just the right amount of cushion for comfort. It has surprisingly nice back support I don't need a back cushion like I originally thought I would. I noticed that I don't arch my back when I sit in this chair like I do with other chairs. I love the mid-century look of this chair. I was a little apprehensive that it doesn't have arm rest. But I think I'm ok with it. My old chair has arm rest and I never really use it anyway. I am 5'3" and it fits me nicely. I think if you're a few inches taller or shorter, it'll fit you ok.
