This is my first Miele. As I expected, it has very strong suction, which is exactly what I need living in Southern California where dust builds up quickly due to the dry climate. It performs especially well on hardwood floors, picking up fine dust and debris (and hairs) with no problem. Another big plus is how easy it is to clean. The bagless design makes emptying and maintenance very straightforward, which saves time and hassle. The only downside is the weight. It’s noticeably heavy, and at times I need to use both hands to steady it. That said, it’s manageable—and you could even think of it as a bit of an arm workout. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this vacuum!! For a person living with chronic pain (multiple back surgeries etc.) vacuuming is no longer uncomfortable! This vacuum is lightweight (not sure why some reviews state it is heavy), great size, and easy to use (maneuverability). All the attachments are useful, and emptying the canister is really easy, it even comes with a cute little brush attached to the body of the vacuum to help clean the canister. The battery is sufficient to clean the house if you use it on the low setting. This vacuum is really powerful (suction) and cleans well! And even more powerful, if you need it, if you up the settings. I love the it automatically detects and adjusts between rugs and the hardfloors. Charging speed is great too. This vacuum is fantastic - and stylish too! It is value for money for the high quality you get with this vacuum! I have owned other Miele vacuums too but this is my favorite now! Read more
This is powerful. It cleans better than any other battery operated vacuum we have tried. It was easy to put together, it was easy to put up the wall mount (my husband did that), and it charges simply while being stored. Not too heavy, but a little heavier to than our last one. HOWEVER, after a full charge, the vacuum battery lasted around 10-15min in mixed use, most hard floor with a couple of area rugs. We need it to last 30min to vacuum our entire 1000sqft house, so this is disappointing. Whether it was worth paying way more than we have for any other cordless vacuum, is up for debate. I love Miele appliances and have a c1 turbo that I adore. I wanted to get a stick vac for the days where I don’t feel like rolling around a canister or lighter jobs. I went with the total care for the variety of included attachments and am thrilled with my purchase. Pros: superior cleaning, powerful suction, miele’s quality in the build and parts, and a variety of accessories to fit your cleaning needs. Works well on a variety of surfaces and is easy to maneuver. Love that it can get pretty much flat to the ground. It cleans 95% as well as my Miele canister. I think my attachments for the canister are slightly better for high pile carpet/rugs, which is what makes up for the 5%. Nice to have.. the colorway is chefs kiss. Cons: the other reviewers are right in that the battery doesn’t last long if you use the brush roll attachments. I have mostly hardwood floors and tile so this is not a huge concern for me. It is definitely heavier than it looks. Prepare to get an arm workout. I imagine it’s due to the motor that they pack in there, but it’s certainly more substantial than Dysons that I’ve tried. It’s not cheap but I trust Miele quality. Lastly, it would be nice if it stood up on its own at this price point but whatever. Not a big deal to me. Read more
I purchased the Miele Duroflex vacuum and to be honest I fell in love with it. I was pretending I was an influencer when I talked about the close-to-$600 vacuum to friends and family. I was using it every other day. And four months after I got it a part broke/melted. It's a plastic part that locks in the brush on the main attachment. The plastic part rotates very rapidly and constantly over a metal part. I am not a product engineer, but this seems like it was doomed to fail. I wasn't able to return it via Amazon and Miele customer support was useless and wouldn't send me a part. They were robotic and unhelpful saying I need to order the part, get this... over the phone! A plastic part. On a 4 month old vacuum. On the PHONE. For $22.50 plus shipping and tax! Except, get THIS: they don't have the part they told me to call and order. Let alone send me for free. It's a ten cent piece of plastic. And so now I have to drive 40 minutes to a dealer and have it looked at and the warranty reviewed. After calling the Miele authorized retailer they said Miele doesn't honor a lot of waranties and often cite user error. What a massive pain and as a customer I went from a promoter, big time, very rapidly to a detractor. And now I see they have a 1.6 star review rating on Trustpiliot and now I shouldn't be surprised. The vacuum works great until something goes wrong and then you are on your own. I might be sitting on a $600 piece of junk now. Read more
