I got this book used and, therefore, cheap. If I had paid full price I would have been mightily upset. The plates are excellent. The text is good. The problem is that coverage is sparse. Select British and American units are covered, mostly during the AWI period--but a limited selection. There isn't a lot on the French and Indian War. The French receive little more than an honorable mention for the entire period. There are much better books out there but this is nice for what it covers--if you can get it cheap. Read more
