I feel like having at least one good blazer is a must in any wardrobe, and when I saw this beige one by Mina Self, I instantly fell in love. It honestly feels like such good quality, and the sewing is impeccable. I was also surprised by how soft it is. With a herringbone weave, you sometimes expect the fabric to feel a little rough or textured, but this one is smooth and really comfortable. The material is on the thicker side, perfect for fall and winter, but not so heavy that you get overheated. It has that ideal balance of structure and comfort. For reference, I’m 5’6”, 146 lbs, 27-inch waist, and I ordered my normal size medium. It fits really well overall. The sleeves are just a tiny bit short and do ride up a little when I move my arms, but honestly that’s pretty typical for blazers. The shoulders and back don’t feel tight at all, which was a huge plus for me. There is some shoulder padding, but not enough to make your shoulders look bulky, just enough to give a clean, flattering shape. The herringbone pattern is adorable. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it at first, but once I saw it in person, I ended up loving it. And the pockets? Actual functional pockets, not fake stitched shut ones, which I really appreciate. It’s incredibly versatile too. You can dress it up for work or pair it with jeans for a casual day out. It looks polished either way. For the $49.99 price (as of 11/30/25), the quality is honestly worth way more. It feels like a blazer you’d find at a much higher price point. Overall, I’m super impressed. I enjoy many features of this quality Mina Self tweed blazer, such as the notched lapel, convenient pockets, and soft but thick fabric. However, I was sad to find out in person that the notched lapel has a slightly different shape in person than in the photos online. I appreciate that this blazer can be machine washed, made up mostly of polyester and acrylic. My tag stated more specifically: polyester 47.6%, acrylic 26.7%, nylon 9.6%, regenerated cellulose fibers 9.5%, other fibers 6.6%. I believe that the busy herringbone fabric looks better online than in person, yet this may still be a good professional no nonsense kind of blazer that may fit well with the normal business world. It seems to go better with solid colors. I was confused about the two varying size charts posted online. I think the chart posted in the photo section on the left of the screen appeared to be more accurate to me, as opposed to the “Size Chart” link, placed on the right side (under the size buttons from Small to XX-Large). I normally wear Large but decided to order a Medium in this. The blazers I have been obtaining lately have seemed a bit large for me. I am glad I have blazers in both sizes, for I may fall in between these Medium and Large sizes at around 5’6” and 115 lbs. I value that this well fitting blazer arrives with an extra black button. This is nice dressier blazer that is true to size. The fabric is soft and I appreciate that it is fully lined. This is mid weight so perfect for layering. I love that I can either dress it up with cream colored trousers and dress shoes, or go more casual with either a denim skirt or dress or with jeans and boots. I see this as being a really versatile piece of my fall and winter wardrobe. The blazer is well constructed and the fabric content and washing instructions are clear and detailed (always a bonus in my book!). I think this is priced fair for the quality.
