The weight of the fabric is perfect for me, heavier than a tee shirt but not as heavy as a sweater. It is soft and comfortable, and just the right length for leggings. The cowl neck is nice, it is flattering but does not suffocate you like a turtleneck! I am a true size large but ordered XL as the clothes on Amazon always seem to run too small. I think I could have gone with the L after all, but it isn't huge and I may just take it in. If you like a slightly looser fit I would order up, it skims nicely over figure flaws! This top is a super soft (think sweater soft), medium weight, jersey type material. It's warm without being bulky. I love the cowl neck that keeps the back of my neck warm (short hair here) and yet it's loose and feminine in the front without being too low and revealing. Along with that, it's just long enough in the back to cover my backside and not so long that it looks dumpy. The fit is slimming without being clingy, loose without looking like a maternity top or mumu. I am 5'7" 175# 40D with the typical mom muffin top. I don't like tight or fitted tops, so I ordered the XXL. It's perfect for me. The only downside I can see is that the black, which I ordered, collects everything. If you have pets I would avoid the black! Also, I'm not sure what other reviews are talking about when they mention exposed or outside seams. The only "exposed" seam on mine is the bottom front edge. It is not turned under and stitched, but it is a finished edge. I think you'd call it serged. All other seams are normal and on the inside. I have washed and dried mine only once so far so I'm not sure about how it will hold up. I do plan on throwing it in a mesh laundry bag when washing to avoid pilling. 4 star rating and I plan on ordering more colors. :) Read more

The tunic is perfect for layering under sweaters, jackets and is substantial enough to wear on its own. I ordered a medium and it fits beautifully. I'm 5'9", 162 lbs which is a little curvy for my height. Very comfortable, the fabric is soft and substantial, not flimsy or see-through.
