This thing slides all over the place and very thin. 1/8th inch? More like 1/8cm. The plastic is almost oily. Very suspect. Overall not happy with this product. Heading the local big-box office store to pay $10 more for a quality chair mat. Read more
I got this to prevent further damage to my office carpet. Even after using a heat gun on it it never really lays flat. The chair sinks into it a bit and when you go to roll your chair out, you sort of need to shift around to get wheels in the same direction. If you don't, it might cause a crack. Most of this issue is likely due to the carpet I have it on so I can't completely blame the mat. However, due to it never laying flat I can only give 3 starts. Read more

It's really slippery on the hardwood floor, so make sure to watch your step or place something underneath to avoid slipping. Otherwise, it a great product. Read more
Junk, chair won't roll and leaves divots Read more
This is a pretty good carpet protector. I must admit, I knew fully well that it was made for low pile carpet when I got it, and I actually have medium pile carpet. The difference is in the thickness of the polycarbonate sheet. This is a thinner sheet, so it bends a bit when it’s on medium pile carpet, but won’t bend much (or at all) on very low pile carpet, since the low pile carpet is providing a lot of strength and not much give. On medium pile carpet, you will get some dents and divots in it where the chair wheels press, but these go away after a while (many minutes) if the chair moves away. But, the price for this one (currently under $35) is about half the price of actual medium-pile carpet protectors (which are thicker and stiffer), so I couldn't resist trying it. I have to say, this performs admirably well, considering I’m using it incorrectly. Yes, it bends a bit, but my chair still rolls smoothly on it, and it’s fulfilling it’s primary purpose, which is to protect my carpet. I will say, unrolling it was a challenge! It ships rolled up tightly in a poster box, and it was tough to get it unrolled. Once I did, I put some heavy objects on the corners overnight to help it “learn” to lay flat, and that worked pretty well. Overall, I’m pleased enough with it to give it 5 stars, even though I’m using it on medium-pile carpet. If you actually use it on low-pile carpet, I’m sure you’ll be very pleased, especially since the price is quite a good value. Read more

I got this to use on my carpeted floor, as my carpet is a semi-deep pile and the chair drags. It's a mess! It's so thin the weight of me on my chair creates deep divots, and I had to pin it under my desk legs to get it to stop rolling up. Overall I wish I had chosen a more expensive, sturdier option.
