I've wanted an electric screwdriver in this size range for a while now, so I was glad to see this one come up on Vine. The driver has decent torque, and the integrated light is very handy. A good assortment of bits that are nice and narrow for getting into some of the small diameter screw holes on devices is great to have. There's a manual bit holder which is useful as well. The driver itself has some backlash or slop when used manually as when starting to loosen a screw, but I'm sure that's just a function of how its gearbox is implemented. I will avoid putting a lot of force on the electric driver itself. It may be tough enough to handle it but I'm interested in the speedy removal of fasteners once loosened. A broken driver would be a definite bummer. The bits don't come with any removable holder, they're inserted into the cut foam of the box everything comes in. You can just use the box as is or perhaps cut out the bits so they're easier to store in a toolbox which is what I plan to do. Read more
Overall, a nice set for the jobs working with small screws, like your phone, computer, glasses, etc. Nice to have it powered when you get older and your hands hurt. The set came sealed in a box, which would make it very presentable as a gift. Came with the charging cable, plenty of small sized bits, and even a little plastic pry tool and other pieces for when you have to separate parts. There is even a manual driver as well. Everything seems high quality. Overall, this is a very nice set. Just keep in mind that this is only for small sized jobs- you are not going to drive screws into a wall with this. Read more
I was excited to get this tool, as I do a lot of small electronics repair. It worked great for the first couple of days and then it started losing battery life pretty rapidly. By the end of the week, it wouldn't hold a charge longer than about 10 minutes. The bits are poor quality and several of them stripped pretty easily. I would not recommend you waste your money on this product if it can be avoided. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but it wasn't even worth it to me to try and get it replaced. Read more
I've been wanting a screwdriver like this for ages! It is perfect for putting together IKEA style furniture, opening a battery pack, or putting a screw into drywall for a photo frame. This is not a tool for building or construction. That said, I do feel comfortable letting my kids use this for fun projects (with supervision) to have them learn how to use power tools. This is a must-have when working with phone and small electronic disassembly. I have only ever had individual small plastic handled screwdriver sets. This one has every size and type of mini bit I can conceivably think of. Swapping them is effortless and the fact that it is an electric drive saves a lot of tedium and hand soreness compared to manual methods. If you even semi-regularly have to take apart phones for screen repair or other mods, this will make process a lot more convenient. Read more
I own a small computer company, so I am constantly using small screwdrivers in my line of work. While it really has never been an issue, now that I have the automatic screwdriver I don't want to build without it. IMO, it is perfect for small electronics. It spins fast enough (but not too fast) and it provides a bit of torque, but again not "too much" for my uses at least. I also like that it's USB rechargable so batteries are never an issue. The media could not be loaded. The quality of this screwdriver and kit could be better. To start the kit comes in a box which acts as the case for it. No separate nicer case included. The bits and accessories are good. The screwdriver itself is ok but one big issue is you can hear something inside rattling when you shake it. Likely the batteries, it’s not a huge issue but could be better quality craftsmanship. The screwdriver itself charges and works good, no issue there. I just think the overall quality could be better.
