Exactly what I was looking for
As someone with a chronic condition who needs to carry supplies with me at all times, I was looking for a smaller bag to stash only the essentials so I can leave the bigger, heavier bag in the car. Something that will fit inside the bigger bag so when necessary I don’t have to lug two bags. This bag is the perfect size for my small wallet, phone, and car fob, which I consider the bare minimum. But there’s also room for my reading glasses, lip balm, hand sanitizer, plus my passport if needed. The front pocket is RFID blocking. My wallet is already RFID safe so I will use that pocket for my key fob and/or phone to prevent electronic theft. The pocket covers the entire area of the front of the bag, above and below the zipper. The rear pocket easily holds a passport in its RFID case. It covers the entire back panel but the opening isn’t quite big enough to slide my phone case in. The main section of the bag easily fits my phone, glasses, and other small items I could easily cram more stuff in there but that would defeat the purpose of carrying something light on my shoulder. I like how the bag lays flat against my chest or back. If I have to bend to pick up something, it doesn’t swing forward to hang in front of me like a normal crossbody. With my arthritic hands, the strap is hard to switch from one side to the other. But that just shows how secure it is. A thief can’t just quickly unhook it; it takes two hands. There is an elastic bit on the strap that will keep the loose end from flapping around. Photo reference: I am 5-3 and 140 lbs. with very small shoulders. The only quibble I have is that the description and photos show the depth measurement at 2”. There is 1” between the front and back seams, however the material allows the bag to expand. I haven’t used this “out in the wild” yet but I don’t anticipate any problems. Edit: Not convinced the RFID pocket works. My car still detects the key fob when I get near it.
