My toddler absolutely loves these cute wooden maracas—they’re just the right size for little hands and the colorful patterns make them extra fun to wave around. The light rattle is sweet and engaging without being too loud, so they make a great, portable musical toy. That said, we did have some durability issues. Two broke within the first month—one of the stems separated, and the round shaker body came apart—sending tiny beads everywhere. I was glad I was nearby and quickly discarded any that felt loose afterward to avoid a choking hazard. So: wonderful toy for sensory and rhythmic play, but keep an eye on the joints and toss any that show early wear. Read more

I use these in therapy with toddlers and I have mixed feelings. On one hand, the quantity you get for the price is unbeatable. However, the sound is quite dull when you shake them and they are not durable. The top half of the maraca separates from the handle easily and I’ve already had to throw a few out after occasional uses during sessions.
