I have worn a number of Minnetonka sandals over the years. I even ordered another pair from Shoe Mall through Amazon which are the same size 8 M. These black Silvie 799910 sandals are either mislabelled or something is terribly wrong. They are significantly narrower across that top strap area than any of the other Minnetonka sandals that I have ordered recently or had in the past. I could not even get my foot into the shoe. You can even tell just by looking that they are narrower there in this shoe than in other Minnetonka 8 M. The other pair different style that I bought from Shoe Mall through Amazon at the same time fit much better, ie at least I could get my foot into the shoe. The jury is still out whether the stiffer leather is going to rub blisters or not. I have reached out to see about returning them without paying a return shipping charge since they clearly appear to be defective to me, but have not heard back yet. I could consider trying this model in 8 C/D which I have never worn but if I were going to have to pay return shipping on those as well if they don't fit, I am not very interested in trying.
