The Miofive Dash Cam arrived on time. On unpacking, I saw that the extra adhesive patch included in the package looked mangled and was stuck to the plastic baggie containing the USB charger. I didn't really need it but decided to make Miofive customer support aware of the issue. They replied within minutes and only asked me for the order ID. I sent them a picture of the defective patch and the requested ID, a replacement attachment kit was sent immediately. I am impressed by company that stands behind their product even for a minor issue. Other than that, installation was a breeze. I decided to patch in my own USB power supply into the overhead console of my Chrysler Pacifica, which worked just fine. The camera works flawlessly. One thing to be aware of is that the camera does not do well with USB-C to USB-C connection, which is documented on Miofive's support page and did not affect me. All in all a great experience. I ordered this based on a wirecutter review and expected a microsd card with the dash cam. I emailed tech support and they were very helpful and accommodating despite my not noticing that there is no microsd card included. The videos on the miofive website are super handy to help with installation, I would recommend watching them -- no problems with the install, no problems connecting to the dash cam, serving continues Read more

This camera has reasonable video quality. The software support the wifi connection function well. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a flash card, so you'll have to purchase it for yourself. The instruction is a bit confusing, but I think if you are using a high speed 64GB card, it should be compatible with this camera. The button on the camera is a bit in-intuative. It is usable, but if you are in a rush/distraction, you might loose some of consciousness, you will not remember which button to push for which function. Another disappoint thing is the that the camera does not come with a built-in battery, so as soon as you turn off the engine, the camera is off. This is not acceptable because sometime I want to record the police's behavior, but I have to turn off the engine and so does the camera. If this camera has a built-in batter that can last for at least an hour after turn off the engine, it will deserve a 5 stars. Read more

Written instructions could be better, but how to install and use videos are on YouTube. Small size so doesn’t obstruct view. Got recommended Miofive memory card, use 128,256, or 512 GB. The vocal reminder that car in front of you has moved comes on immediately when car moves in front and was annoying, but easy to disable on settings. My Subaru has same feature, but doesn’t come on until a second or 2 later. Also changed setting to leave visual always on, just my preference. Hardest part was hiding cord as my weatherstripping doesn’t peel off like in YouTube video. Overall, great dash cam, much better than my first one(another brand). Recommended. Read more

pros, easy to install, starts up in an instant when your car does, loop recording, clear picture, auto locks a video when it detects a bump to the car. The only real con I have, and it’s not a big deal, and maybe I haven’t seen it in the settings, but the computer voice will say “keep up with traffic” when I’m stopped at a red light. Very minor issue. Read more

Stops recording if you stop for five minutes, then does NOT start recording again if you start moving again! HUGE SOFTWARE BUG that causes it to not record most of our trips! Read more
