I moved into a new house and my bedroom is upstairs. I had strained my knee, so I bought a coffe maker for upstairs, so when I'm getting ready for work, I wouldn't have to make a dozen trips up and down the stairs. I use heavy creamer in my coffee, so I pour the heavy creamer into this thermos at night and take it upstairs with me. It keeps it cold, like being in the fridge! Before I leave for work, I put it in the fridge, and do the same thing the next night. It really does keep things cold for a very long period of time, at least 11 hours, that's the longest I've used it for. I bought this for my daughter to bring to school so that she would always ice cold water. This does the trick! When she gets home, ice is still in the bottle....even the next day sometimes. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it's hard to get ice in there unless you have the molds for stick ice.... which I do not! However, I have found ways to get ice in there still... so maybe I shouldn't have given 4 stars? I know this says hand wash, but I'm lazy and everything goes in the dishwasher! I have been traumatized from hand washing dishes growing up. I was the only girl, and I have 4 brothers.... and it was ALWAYS JOKE TIME WITH THEM... UGH!!! I almost got triggered there again. Anyways.... once my family stepped out of the dark ages and into civilization and got dishwasher, I said I will never hand wash a dish again! With that said.... the dishwasher has not let me down with this water bottle yet. I've had the bottle for about 4 months now, and it still looks brand new. I would definitely recommend! Read more

I have been searching for a smaller water bottle and this certainly is perfect. It fits inside a purse or tote bag, lid fits tight so no leaks, and it is nice looking. Ice from my fridge fits in the top which is another plus. This is not large enough for an all day event for those who drink a lot but great for short trips to keep hydrated.
