not MIRACULOUS, but definitely good enough
I love reviews that include details about the reviewer's body, so: I'm 5'10" tall, with a shorter torso/longer legs, and I weigh about 200. I've lost weight over the last year, so there is jiggle. My clothing sizes are usually 14/16, 16W, 1X, or Torrid size 1, and I wear a size UK 36J bra. I do tend to carry weight more in my midsection than in my hips/thighs. I ordered this suit in a size 18, after reading reviews. It took some work to shimmy into it, but once it was on, it was plenty comfortable. No crazy back fat, and nothing was hanging out that ought not be. The suit didn't give me an instant hourglass figure, BUT, come on - I'm not gonna have one of those until I lose another forty pounds, so...just keep your expectations realistic. I do feel like this is the most flattering suit I've tried on over the last several summers. My first reaction once I looked in the mirror was, "okay, I can definitely work with this". I know swimsuit shopping is a horrible thing for a lot of people, and this little moment made me so happy! My only complaint is the construction in the bust area, and it's mostly a "me" problem. The underwires are wider than the ones in the bras I typically wear, and they sit a bit too low to provide the kind of support I normally prefer. Admittedly I'm full-busted, and my tissue there is pretty soft, so I definitely feel a bit like everything is just being pressed against my chest. That being said, the crossover style means that everything is held in place, albeit a bit squished. The price point here is significant, but I think I'll be able to use this suit for the next year or so. It's made well, and seems to be of good quality. Read more
