This waffle knit maxi dress is such a great addition to my wardrobe! The fabric is soft, textured, lightweight, and has a really nice stretch that makes it comfortable to wear all day. It has that cozy waffle knit feel without being too heavy, which makes it perfect for the warmer months, but it’s also easy to layer with a jacket or cardigan for transitional weather. It’s advertised as wrinkle-free, but mine did arrive with some wrinkles right out of the packaging. That said, the material itself feels like really good quality and looks great once on. One of my favorite features is the pockets—they’re always a must-have and make the dress even more functional! The fit is true to size with a nice, flowy silhouette. There’s still some wiggle room, and while I probably could have sized down, I prefer the extra flow for comfort and movement. I also love the button detail at the bottom—it’s such a nice feature that lets you leave a few unbuttoned to your comfort level, whether you want a little more movement or just a different look. The slit down the side is still modest and keeps everything covered, but giving more ability to move. The color was slightly different than expected from my phone screen—I thought the wine red would lean more purple, but it’s actually a true burgundy. Still a gorgeous, rich color and very flattering. This is a great little lightweight knit dress for summer. The fabric drapes nicely and it has a little stretch and give for comfort. It will be cool in the summer and dry quickly as well. I ordered it in the large navy, and my body type is curvy size 12-14, so I am bigger in the bust and hips. The style is straight and more fitted, so it is flattering and not boxy. I will need to wear my Spanx though, as it is more form fitting until I lose a little more weight and can go without an undergarment. The quality of the workmanship and fabric are very good, so I would definitely consider this to have a high value. I anticipate it will launder well, but I think I will line dry prevent any shrinkage. Toss it in the dryer on wrinkle release if necessary. The wood buttons are a classic accent with the navy. This can be worn with a little sweater, shrug, or white jean jacket and can go anywhere from the Country Club to the Little League field to a casual dinner date. I ordered a size larger than I usually wear, based on the size chart. The dress fits me well at the hips and bust, but there is no shape to it. To be fair, the description says it is a loose-fitting dress. But the photos make the dress appear to have a touch of shape at the waist. The arm holes have an interesting design. They are elongated on the side with an inserted panel which could be a modesty panel, but the side of my bra shows. This could be because I ordered a size up, but the dress would not truly be loose-fitting if I ordered my usual size. I didn’t notice when I ordered this dress that there is no natural textile in the fabric. It is almost all polyester with a bit of spandex, which gives it a nice stretch while holding the (boxy) shape. This is supposed to be a beach dress, and while the fabric feels airy, it gets a bit warm in the sunshine. I like the tiny waffle weave across opaque material, but the single stitch around the garment gives away its lack of quality. There is a double stitch across the bottom hem, which helps to avoid puckering and keep the hem flat. The double stitching should have been used all over the dress given the stretch in the material. The length is perfect. I’m of average height, so this dress could be too long for a short individual. It may be ankle length instead of maxi for someone who is taller, but it would still look attractive at that length. Remember to wash in cold water and air dry. Put this fabric in hot water or a dryer and any wrinkles will be ironed in forever. Read more

I ordered this for my wife. Here is her review. As should be obvious from the photos, I am quite a bit larger than average in the chest area, and that can make buying dresses (especially online) a bit of challenge. Many dresses (and sometimes it feels like most dresses) do not fit me well right off the rack. This dress is a pleasant surprise, for, it has just enough room in the chest, and with the addition of a belt, I love the way this fits and feels. Note: The belt in the picture is one that I already had; it does not come with the dress. Without the belt, I was not crazy about the look of the dress. It fit too loosely, and it gave no definition to the waistline. The simple addition of a wide belt, however, made all the difference, and now I find it to be well-defined and slimming. I appreciate that it is comfortable enough to wear all day, and I also like the casual elegance of its fabric and design, which makes it well-suited to wear in a wide variety of contexts. Read more
