Mission Belt Mens Leather Ratchet Belt 3Bar Collection

This is the first belt I've purchased from Mission Belt. I can honestly say that I can no longer buy a "traditional" belt from any other box store. Here are some of the things that I particularly like about this belt: Shipping & Handling: - Shipping was incredibly quick; I received the belt two days after I ordered it. A handwritten note was left in the package, which I thought was a very nice touch. Plus, it comes with a Mission Belt sticker if you're so inclined to put it somewhere. Style: - Fashionable, multipurpose, goes well with many different outfits. Modern and hip, with a stylish logo to add (which I think adds to the overall design of the belt and not detracts). Nice touch. Quality: - Just downright awesome. The buckle is solid, chrome, and doesn't feel cheap. As for the belt itself, it's as it says: "Yeah... it's leather". It's thick and firm, yet flexible enough to conform to your waistline. Rock solid construction, it feels built to last. Features: - The buckle itself and the "hole-less" design are what really makes this belt exceptional. Once you use it, you will realize that you can't go back to a traditional hole-fitting belt. This is what I like about this belt the most. With the notches, you can get the most accurate and comfortable fit. No more drilling holes into your old belt to make it fit you better. This feature is prime - it's what sells it for me. I've never had a belt that's fit me as comfortably as this belt has. However, I do have one complaint: the end of the belt has a little over three inches of excess leather which is imprinted on the inside with "Yeah... It's Leather". This little bit doesn't have notches, so it is more of a stylistic addition rather than a functional aspect. Because the belt is a hair big on me (a smaller one wouldn't fit) and because of the excess leather, the front of the belt sticks out and flops around a bit. This causes my shirt to stick out a bit when it is covering the belt. Not a huge deal, but something to take note of.* And it also smells like leather, but I'm sure that will go away after some time. I am still giving this a five star rating because my personal quibble doesn't deserve a negative star rating (and because the pros overwhelmingly outweigh the cons). Conclusion: - This belt is a must buy for anyone looking to replace an old belt. It's solid, stylish, and fits perfectly. You won't regret the purchase. -------- *UPDATE: The Mission Belt team got back with me (the same day I wrote this review) about the excess belt length issue. I didn't realize you could remove the buckle. I removed the buckle and trimmed the belt per the instructions in the comment they left and now there's no more excess length. It couldn't fit me any more perfectly now. I officially have zero complaints about this belt. Awesome customer service! Very satisfied with my purchase. *UPDATE (5/15/15): So here I am, over two years later, and this is the only belt that I still own since writing this original review. It still garnishes compliments and has been easily adjustable for any waist size fluctuation. The leather still looks great with no additional care, but I'm sure it would look even better if treated once every so often. No tears, broken components, scratches, or anything else. Mission Belts was my first introduction into the Ratchet Belt systems and I'm extremely glad I game them a chance. The ratchet system is simple and easy to adjust with minimal effort. Ever eat too much at dinner but didn't want to be obvious about loosening your belt? No problem with these ratchet systems. A quick press of the release button and the belt will loosen up, making for a comfortable fit. If the opposite happens, a simple tug of the belt will tighten it without having to be obvious. The leather used on these belts is a nice quality. It could be a little better, but I have had no issues with my belts holding up. I have purchased 4 belts (black, red, white and canvas) from Mission Belts, along with one extra buckle, and they have all held up very well. This belt is the most comfortable belt you will ever wear!!!! Built very well and the buckle is solid steel not a cheap metal buckle like most. The leather is thick and very well made and good quality with an excellent finish. Now the adjustment of the belt is genius and having the ability to tighten or loosen it just a little bit is great. No holes, so it keeps the belt very clean looking. If you need a belt for work or going to a party and need something nice looking this is the belt to buy!!!!!!!!!! If you need to wear a holster then this belt is the one to get and is very strong. Just buy it and you will love it. Good quality. Nice paint job that seems durable. A little thick on the front while laying down but functions properly and is sturdy. The belt still holds well as the slide belt is too thin. This is tapered on the edges but still seems to work and is stiff enough to hold em up. The latch is a little difficult to find at times but not that bad. The slide one you can lift the whole face of it which is very easy. Seems to click stronger. Do not step on it. Will split apart. Buckle will rust eventually as well. A little $$ for quality. Love it when new, but does degrade easily. If better leather, stainless buckle, and came with hanger, then would be great. I have tried another after 3 or 4 of these. Once had a green and black buckle. Missed it. Thinking about flag buckle. I got a love hate relationship with this belt. Read more

I saw this item on Shark Tank. If I recall, all the Sharks turned the item down; they were crazy to do so. I bought a belt and it is the BEST belt I have ever worn. Unfortunately at 60 years old, I am a bit out of shape around the middle. This belt, with its close together notches, helps me to be comfortable whether I move the belt tighter or looser (like after a big meal). It’s the most comfortable belt I have ever owned and it feels great on me. The buckle is a little larger than I would've wanted due to the mechanism, but it’s a very small issue when the entire belt is perfect. The quality is great and, not to repeat myself, but, it looks good on me. I'm going to buy a brown belt, also. Read more

I can honestly say that I bought this belt after watching a Shark Tank rerun, power of TV commercial folks. Working in a business attire wearing career for years, I go through your standard black belt pretty quickly. And having lost a few LBs this past year, I noticed that even my pricier quality leather belts show the wear/tear of my pudgy days. And after years of buying traditional belts that fail you due to various reason, I'm very satisfied with the belt. The mechanism is simple as it can be, reliable, and its aesthetically pleasing. My only gripe is not with the product, but the mission belt's method of sale online. I was actually planning to buy this belt via their website, but Amazon's listing made it easier to buy the buckle+strap combo that I wanted. Read more
