I LOVE this dress! I have been so worried to wear tight dresses since I’ve been getting chubby, but this dress is just so flattering! It hugs my curves and makes me feel so pretty again. It’s stretchy and comfortable, a huge bonus for the curvy girls. The material is thick and not see through, and the dress is made extremely well, it even has a little elastic along the top hem to help it stay up. This is a quality dress, and it really looks the part. What you see is basically what you get. However, the dress runs REALLY small. My wife is on the petite side of medium, such that medium-sized clothes—whatever they are—generally fit either just right or slightly large. She’s also only five feet tall, so with dresses, length is usually the main question mark. Waist, hips, bust, and belly are generally non-factors. With this dress, though, that’s all backwards: the length is perfect, but everything else seems undersized. This dress from MISSJOY seems like it’ll be a joy if fits, but that’s a big “if.”For my wife specifically, there’s no sizing up, either. The large—even running small like this medium—would be comically big and baggy (and long) on her, so an exchange is a non-starter. Still, the quality is there, and the value is, too. This is a nice dress. This is truly a stunning and elegant party dress. I ordered mine in dark green and absolutely love that it brings out my light eyes and looks absolutely gorgeous against my white but tan skin. The material is lightweight but fully double-lined, making it both comfortable and visually appealing, with a straight drape down to my ankles. There is a large slit on the back; the zipper extends from the mid-upper back to the level of the waist and was easy to zip on my own. The stitching is neat and straight, with no lose threads. I ordered the large, which is my usual size, and it fit well, with room to spare. The strap that goes from the back to the front is a tad lose on my small shoulders, but not a big deal. The dress stays in place and feels luxurious. It does not have hanging straps on the inside, so I wouldn't hang it from the straps, as I cannot afford for these to stretch. Read more
Um WOW! I feel like Jessica Rabbit in this dress! Now I know why I go to the gym 4-5 times a week! For this gorgeous, body hugging and forgiving dress! I’m so in love. Can I wear this all the time? I don’t plan to wear this as the choking-style halter, instead I’ll always wear this as a more traditional halter, since it truly gives a more flattering silhouette. The dress has a comfortable slit up the back for easier movement. The back has a metal zipper and hook and eye. The top, around the bust, has a strip of vinyl to keep it from falling down, but honestly I don’t think that really does anything. There is no inner support, but a longline bra works wonders! I’m seriously so in love! I grabbed a Large based on the size chart, and it fits perfectly! The beauty of this dress is that it includes an inner tube lining to help smooth and shape. Best find ever! Ordered this evening dress for an upcoming event. I was sent a size XL and I ordered a M. Therefore, I cannot try the dress on, To see the feel but the material is nice and thick, and soft to touch. The color (Navy) is true, and quite lovely. The dress isn’t thin at all, and seems of higher quality. I will probably be getting this tailored to my size, as I believe it would be worth it. The slit in the back adds a nice touch, as the dress is a simple classic style, that will still look great in upcoming years. I would recommend this dress. Just pay attention to the sizing.
