I've wanted a pair of boots that look like this for as long as I can remember, probably 20 years. I didn't think I could afford something in this price range and I have been buying something much cheaper every year or two, always settling, and always getting rid of them because they aren't comfy or they're too trendy. Miz Mooz does not need to be broken in, they're comfortable on your feet even when you're sitting, the leather is fantastic. This particular style is timeless and I couldn't be happier. I only wear them 1-2 times a week in the winter months, so I probably won't need to buy another pair for 20 more years. I splurged on these and I was not dissapointed. I have a pair of Miz Mooz sandals that I adore, so, trusting that these would be just as good, I ordered them in my usual size. The leather is very nice, a good deep black, and not thin or cheap. They fit like a glove and are comfortable to wear. I have not worn them for any great length of time, but around the house to try them on. I like the ruched effect on the foot, but one thing a little odd is that the piece of leather above the ankle is free and not sewn. It look okay but just seems a little odd that way. Updating my review to warn that I returned these and the company I purchased from + Amazon report a refund was issued two weeks ago. My bank and Visa have confirmed that it wasn’t received to my account. It is becoming an ordeal to recover my $224.95 and I’m becoming quite worried. These are an exquisite boot until you get to the top. I’m wearing semi-thick sweatpants here to try on, but still shows how the circumference just below the knee is quite wide and flares out. I purchased no less than 6 pairs of boots this,returning themall for one reason or another this year. This isthe pair I kept. Beautiful, quality boots. Leather is very soft and fit is about right. Calf is good-not too wide.Would not recommend for wider width. Read more
