We didn't need to wear gloves while assembling this lamp because the shade was fully assembled and the crystals were wrapped in paper. 👍 Removing the paper is the last thing we did after completing the installation. This lamp replaced a recessed can-light so we had to install a can-converter first. The medallion shown in my pictures is from the conversion kit. Once that was done, everything else was easy... Attaching the mounting plate, connecting the wires, and screwing the canopy in to place. Hubby made a wire hook to hold the lamp in place while he connected the electrical wires together. I love the way prisms break up light and make it sparkle. At approximately 6" in diameter and 8" long this shade is larger than than the average glass lampshade. I appreciate that it came with a spare prism. Value: I would look for sale prices and compare it to the size of similar products - this one strikes me as being larger than others I've seen, which makes it worth a bit more than them. If you stick to similar design elements in your home, each room can have different lights while maintaining a cohesive look throughout the house. Read more

This light fixture is so very beautiful. It took my husband approximately 30 minutes to install. The crystal's are secured very well and hold up strongly, compared to another light fixture from another brand that he installed the same day. The metal materials and gold finish are both high in quality. The installation was standard and simple. The base for this light fixture works just as it should for our sloped ceiling. Our ceiling is low so we didn't use any of the rods, but we are holding onto them because they are made very well and we may need them if we renovate or move. For $55 the price is fair for one of these light fixtures. I like that it has an E26 light bulb socket so that I can use smart bulbs with it and it still looks gorgeous in my dining room. It also includes a few extra parts like an extra crystal and spare pins to secure the crystals. I'm very happy with this product and I highly recommend it. Read more
