This ceiling light fixture looks great and adds a modern touch to the room. The matte black and gold design is very stylish and works well with different décor styles. It gives off bright, clean light (the 5000K brightness is perfect for hallways, kitchens, or closets) and really lights up the space nicely. Installation was fairly straightforward and it sits flush to the ceiling, which is great for rooms with lower ceilings. This item came packaged well. I was a bit disappointed that the shade isn't glass, it's plastic, but it is disclosed in the listing. My husband said it was a pretty standard install, but the shape made it hard for his large hands to get the screws in. It was a bit more effort, but he got there eventually. It's a nice upgrade from the 25 year old builder fixture it's replacing. It really does a good job of brightening a basement stairwell. It looks like the listing. I'm not sure the value is great because again, it's a plastic globe, not a glass one. That being said it works, it's very bright, and installed I think looks good.
