This was much better than our old wooden coat rack, Heavier marble base which fit into our space better. Metal instead of wood was much stronger and more hooks than our wooden rack. It definitely looks much nicer and takes up less room. The only issues were so many pieces to put together, bags of components were NOT labeled to match instructions and directions were not good.
