Setting it up was straightforward - came in one big box and we just had to arrange the pieces which took maybe 20 minutes. The real issue was waiting for the foam to expand, they say 7 days but honestly it took closer to 10 before the cushions felt fully plumped up and even now there’s still slight variations in firmness between sections. Once it did expand though, the triple-layer foam is pretty supportive, hits a good middle ground between too soft and too firm for my lower back. We’ve rearranged it a couple times already, tried it as a bed once when my brother visited and it worked decently but wasn’t quite as comfortable as a real mattress. The 108 inch width fits well in our living room without overwhelming the space, though you definitely need to measure carefully before buying. The armrests are wide enough to set a drink on which is handy. One thing that bugged me was the slip-resistant base doesn’t grip our hardwood floors as well as I hoped, had to readjust it after vacuuming. It is possible for nothing to slide unexpectedly across the floor since the non-slip base firmly keeps each part in place. This is the case even when someone moves their position or when I turn to reach for the remote control. The fact that the loveseat can be converted into a sleeping couch so quickly and easily when guests arrive was the thing that genuinely pleased me. I eliminate the need for an extra air mattress or a cumbersome pull-out bed by extending the surface into a flat platform that can comfortably accommodate an overnight guest. This is accomplished by simply pulling and sliding the surface.
