Modway Commix Down-Filled Overstuffed Vegan Leather 4-Seater Sofa

It’s very soft and cushy and I like how deep the sofa is. The size is perfect for my room. I like the feel of the fabric and overall I really like it. But there’s one flaw about this sofa which is causing me a lot of trouble; the back of the sofa is too low and doesn’t support the back cushions. They cushions fall when you stand up and they don’t stay in place. I try pushing the cushions down behind the sitting cushions but then the sitting cushions are pushed too far forward and it feels like you’re slanting forward and unstable. I’m currently trying to figure out how to fix this. Considering stick-on velcro but again because the back is so low I’m not sure if Velcro would work well. I’m also considering putting some kind of wood board behind the sitting cushions to support them and staining it so it doesn’t look horrible. Think you’ve read all the reviews across all the sites that sell this sofa set?? Think you’ve seen a good representation of the quality and you’re somewhat-confident it might work for you?? Saw it on Wayfair and thought it got decent reviews? PLEASE, please, just stop! Don’t WASTE YOUR MONEY. I was in that same boat— I wanted the down cushions for comfort. I wanted the cushions to be removeable so I had the opportunity to fluff or restuff in time as needed. I needed the good seat depth. I wanted the modular feature. wanted to be able to add more pieces when needed. I needed it wipeable for kids. I took a chance. Now I have HUGE CASE OF BUYERS REMORSE. Your mileage may vary but here’s my experience: I bought 8 pieces total. Unpacked, sorta dissappointed with feel but thought of the hassle of packing it all back up and figuring out how to return. Convinced myself it would be “good enough” for a basement movie-watching couch. Really Wish I had held on to packaging and RETURNED. Here’s why: - it feels like the “disposable” kind of furniture you can buy at big lots or “value” furniture store. It will not last, I’m certain of it. IKEA seems better waaay quality, so that has to tell you something. -Plastic-y texture, fake appearance. Does not give “leather vibes” at all- not even in my dark basement. Just fake vinyl look head to toe. - Sofa back is waaaay too low to keep the back cushions standing up. They slide down when you set it up. Slide down when you’re sitting in it. Even when you tidy it up after using, nothing stands up right. Everything flops over, slips and looks sloppy 100% of the time!
