I love using my cellphone with this magnetic tripod. Connecting a phone to the tripod is quick and easy. Just hold the phone to the magnetic ring. The connection is strong and secure. No worries the phone will fall off. The tripod weighs only 12.2 ounces, and it telescopically stretches to 51 inches height. When collapsed, it takes up less room in my backpack than my water bottle. It is easy to pack along and get selfies at events and on hikes. We also use the tripod in our camper ~ conveniently holding our phones at a comfortable height while we watch movies. We set it up either on the table or on the floor. The magnetic head's angle adjusts for easy viewing. The threaded camera attachment is strong enough to hold my heavy camera but only with the tripod collapsed down low. My camera and lens are too heavy for the tripod extended tall or with the long telephoto lens out. The tripod would fall forward from the lopsided weight with the lens. The tripod could support a smaller camera. The GoPro attachment is perfect for capturing video selfies. I like the idea of videoing a performance or sport for studying on playback. The tripod is made well with quality materials. It is strong and sturdy with the weight of my cellphone. The moving parts (telescoping pole, screws, feet extending) all work smoothly and are easy to operate. With all of the loose interchangeable parts, it would be nice if a nylon storage bag was included to keep them together when not in use. The stake that can anchor the tripod into the ground seems like a good option but I haven't tried it yet. I wish the stake could be used together with the tripod feet still attached for extra support, but you have to take the feet off before attaching the stake. The only other issue that I found is with my husband's cellphone. When he tries to attach it horizontally to the tripod, it droops and will not stay level because the phone has too much weight with some lens covers at one end of the phone. This stick sucks. Living in south FL most of the golf terrain is compacted sand and trying to get the pointed end of the stick into the ground ends up with the pole collapsing. I'm returning to the game after a long break, and I'm trying to regain my swing. I used to have a very low handicap, but I have a lot of work to do to return to my previous level. One of the best ways to do this is to film your swing. **Background:** I have several other tripod stands, spike stakes, or whatever you call them. The main reason I don't carry them often is their bulk. This one looked extremely streamlined and had tripod legs, but it could also be used as a spike. Depending on the range or location where I'm filming, this was an all-in-one device. **First impression:** This definitely has a solid feel to it. It's not flimsy. It is a little hard to extend the shaft. The magnet for holding the phone is really strong, and there's a small articulating ball joint that you can loosen with a screw on the side and tighten once you get your desired angle. You can also screw in a spike at the bottom or attach the tripod legs. Even the tripod legs are hefty, and I believe this thing is quite stable. I love that I can have one device that works on both soft ground and on pavement, concrete, or indoors.
