Perfect size, controller use
I have controllers for most every station out there, whole line of X-Box and PS, various Nintendo, an Atari 2600. Most everything new I have used rechargeable batteries, now time to replace these, back to old AA batteries. This means new controller stands that don't use electric plug-ins for recharging. I came to this product, would fit on my bookshelf with all the controllers, or event too tall, would sit on top of shelf and not be too tall, compared to the 3 and 4 high stands. I bought 2 of these. Works as intended. For regular book shelf, these stands could be just about 2-2 1/2 inches shorter, but otherwise worked fine on size. Heavy base plate and long screws to hold poles in place are perfect weight for controllers. The docks themselves fit ALMOST everything. My old PS controllers through X-Box, and current design controllers for Switch and generic brand controllers. However, I have an old set of X-Box 360 controllers that have the battery pack under the controller. These do not quite fit in the docks. They sit, but shake the stand even lightly, they will fall out. The rest of the controllers fit firmly in place with no issues. I like this. Came in 16 pieces, to include a little screwdriver to put together. I'm disappointed in the screwdriver add, I believe most everyone should have a basic set of tools, to include a screwdriver to put this together, a waste of metal and extra cost, but this doesn't really detract from the overall package. I didn't use instructions, I have been putting these stands together a long time to keep up with my gaming, so the design was simple, quick, built into a sturdy product. The docks are heavy duty plastic, the base plate and poles are metal. Nice touch on this. The instructions, going back to look at after, are simple and understandable. Minus the 360 controller fit, shown in picture top right, this is a great product, highly recommend. I hate leaving controllers sitting about, and with the replacement of electric charge controllers for simple stands, this is great. This takes up a space just under 7x7 inch square, the width of the controllers spaced back to back, just over 12 inch high, depending on type of controller and the buttons that extend up when resting in the dock.
