A Great, Sensitive Switch That Solved My 'Lights Out' Problem
I was getting incredibly frustrated with a motion-sensing light bulb in one of my rooms that would constantly turn off while I was still in there, forcing me to wave my arms around in the dark. I bought this little motion sensor switch to wire into the light fixture instead, and it has completely solved that annoying problem. What I Liked: Excellent Range and Sensitivity: The best feature of this switch is its great range. It consistently detects motion anywhere in the room and, most importantly, it keeps the light on as long as I'm moving around. No more being left in the dark! A Perfect Fix for Bad Sensor Bulbs: This device is a huge upgrade over my old motion-sensing bulb. Where the bulb's built-in sensor was terrible, this switch is far more reliable and effective at its job. Easy to Install: For someone with basic wiring knowledge, it was very easy to install. The mini size makes it easy to tuck away inside the light fixture's canopy or an electrical box. Versatile Solution: It's a great little device for adding reliable motion control to almost any existing light fixture. What I Didn't Like: Honestly, there's nothing to dislike. It's a simple device that does its job perfectly and solved a very annoying problem. Who Should Buy: Anyone who is frustrated with the poor performance and limited range of motion-sensing bulbs and wants a more reliable solution. DIYers who want to add motion-activated control to a closet, pantry, laundry room, or garage light. People who understand basic electrical wiring (shutting off the breaker, connecting wires, etc.). Who Should Skip: If you are not at all comfortable with basic electrical wiring, you should hire an electrician for the installation. If you need a switch that can handle a load greater than 40W, be sure to check the specifications carefully. Star Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars This little motion sensor switch was the perfect solution to a very frustrating problem. It was easy to install, has a fantastic range, and works reliably. It has made the light in my room truly "smart" and functional, unlike the poor-performing sensor bulb it replaced. Highly recommended. Read more
