Nice OEM coil for my 2003 ford focus ZX5 2.3L. No issues, worked great. It fIxed the intermittent problem I had with the car stumbling at idle. It was a strange problem because it only happened at idle and there was no check engine light coming on. It was driving me crazy. I have a Ford Escape with the 2.3 L 4 Cyl (and 5-sp manual) This is the first time I have ever replaced over-plug coils before. What an awesome design for ease of use! The parts arrived in a padded soft pack that was adequate for the task at hand. A box might have been better protection, but then Ford packs each coil in a sealed plastic bag with no other padding, so they must be able to handle shocks pretty well during shipping. The price was much better than I could have gotten from a ford dealer or parts store locally. I would have bought them locally if the price difference had not been so great. Read more

These came individually wrapped in official Motorcraft bags. The boot of each coil came pre-greased and ready to install. The parts have the official manufacturing stamps that cheap Chinese parts lack. I was warned by my mechanic not to mess around with non OEM on any hybrid for fear of frying a computer. My 2008 Ford Escape hybrid started misfiring uphill on the way home. It turns out I had a misfire on 1 and 2. At 108k+ that's not unheard of. The cover on my little 4 cylinder popped right off (no screws, thanks Ford). The coils and plugs were easy to access. A little antisieze on the spark plug threads and dielectric grease for the knob end. After starting the car it was noticeably smoother, the check engine light was still illuminated, but no longer flashing. After driving it around a bit and restarting the engine light didn't come back on. Problem solved. This was worth the wait, but you may have to go with Walmart if you are in a hurry and pay $15+/coil extra. Read more
