These earplugs work about the same as your standard earplugs. I do think these ones stay in somewhat better, but don’t know if I’d order them again. I can still hear the things going on around me, so it only somewhat dulls the noise. The different sized tips make it convenient to fit properly in your ears. They are quite comfortable to wear to sleep for a nap. The case design unfortunately isn’t my favorite and doesn’t close easily with the ear plugs. Read more

I would quibble with the characterization of these as noise cancelling, since that really implies that there is some active noise cancelling, and these are incapable of that, since they are not electronic. As anyone who has a good set of active noise-cancelling earbuds knows, there is a difference between the level of ambient noise you can hear when in noise cancelling mode versus when just blocking your ear canal with the earbuds, as is the case here. That said, these have helped me to sleep better, since they do block some noise, and, unlike my electronic earbuds, my foam earplugs, and my silicone swimming earplugs, they are more comfortable to wear, and they stay in place. The ear plugs come with a nice storage case. The noise cancelling ear plugs are great when taking naps or when in the library to help cut all the noisy distractions out. They feel comfortable and they stay in place when I am moving around. The plugs are easy to keep clean, and the storage case keeps them together and easy to find. These are not made for concerts or workplaces but will definitely help block out the majority of the sounds. I used these at a concert, sitting in the 3rd row, about 15 ft from some monster speaker clusters. They really do work. They toned down the noise and helped me save my ears. I didn't find them restricting at all. I could hear everything I needed to hear to enjoy the music. These work fine for blocking noise, but they're not something I'd reach for regularly. After wearing them for a bit, they start to hurt my ears. They'll do the job if you really need earplugs, but I'd recommend spending a little more on something more comfortable for everyday use. Read more

Beware: The listing states these are noise cancelling, but the box is more accurate imho, “noise masking earplugs.” My job requires me to sleep in different places constantly, so I typically use actual earplugs. They work fine, but sometimes my ears ache, and the description of these little silicone plugs says they’re really soft, great for sleeping, and won’t hurt the ears. Well, all of these things are false. -While the end that goes inside the ear is indeed soft silicone, the other side is very hard, so as a side sleeper, these do not work for me. -They do not block out much sound. My phone earbuds do a better job at blocking out noise, and they fit better. Truly, my Leight disposable earplugs do a better job. On top of all of this, these are advertised as 50db blocking, and clearly on the insert it reads 32db. Read more
