First Impressions of MOUNTAINLODGE Peach-Skin Shell and Cotton Lining Sleeping Bag for Adult Cold Weather&Warm with Compression Bag&Carry Bag and Detachable Hood for Camping,Travel and Car Camping ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-stars ✅ 2-3 Season usage ✅ Comfy interior fabric ✅ Removable Hood ✅ Hanging loops ✅ Smooth zippers ✅ Well-made, solid stitching ❌ Bit too heavy for backpacking This bag is a square bag which means it is cut square-ish at the feet and the shoulders. This makes the foot well and shoulders very roomy for people, like me, who roll around a lot or appreciate not feeling confined in a “mummy” bag. Generally, the square cut is inherently less thermally efficient since there is more air and space to keep warm by the extremities (farther from the heart). The zipper can unzip all the way around which turns this sleeping bag into a comforter style blanket. I really love this versatility, possibly for use as guest bedding when I have unexpected overnight visitors. Since this is very lightweight, I would consider this a 3-season bag (maybe 2 season: ½ spring, summer, ½ autumn) – I would not want to use this bag by itself in sub-freezing temperatures. There is no shame in being a 3-season bag. Generally, most casual campers go camping in the summer or late spring/early fall, not winter. A bag that is rated for sub-freezing temperatures is often too hot in warmer weather. In colder weather, this bag can be used as a liner inside another sleeping bag or as a shell with another bag inside. The plus side is being lightweight make this more compact and much easier to transport. This bag also makes a great emergency item in the car, since it doesn’t take up much space when compressed. I used to make fun of my mom who used to tell me, “What if you have an emergency?” Well, laugh no more - my car broke down once on a rural highway in sub-freezing temperature with no cellphone service. The worst part? I didn’t have any emergency gear, clothing, or blankets. After that experience, I pack something similar to this bag in the car, ALL THE TIME. I’ve evaluated several MOUNTAINLODGE gear before and it seems they serve the middle and budget market the best. So, of course there are better bags out there – some of them cost a small fortune too. However, is there a better bag at this price point? Possibly, but this one works just fine, if the design, color, and function is suitable. I’m generously rating this bag 5-stars because if the limitations are known beforehand, then it’s a great bag within its limits. If over long term use, my feelings change about this product, I will update this review. Thanks for reading and hope this helps. Read more

I like this sleeping bag for a couple of reasons, mainly for the cotton outer shell and inner lining. Cotton feels nice next to your skin and it’s easier to get a good nights sleep compared to man-made fabrics which make noise then you turn over in them, not very skin friendly, and if you are a restless sleeper you will slide right off your sleeping mat during the night. Polyester bags are just too slick for my taste. This is a nice roomy cotton bag but you must remember the trade off is cotton absorbs moisture and even a heavy fog can cause you to wake up feeling damp. Still, this bag has some very good qualities, it’s functional when it comes to getting better sleep in a dry environment, it has well functioning zippers and is light weight. As far as the value, I have thought about it and it really depends on you, so you have to ask yourself, how much is a good nights sleep worth to you. I’m sorry, this one has me stumped and I can’t decide if it’s worth the asking price or not. If it was about $30 cheaper I would say it’s definitely worth the price, but in good conscience I can’t say it is worth the asking price of around $80. Read more

I used this bag over a one week festival in the woods and I was so glad that I had it with me! I live in Florida and while it’s normally hot here in February in North Central Florida it does get cold. Well I forgot to bring pants with me on this trip and I was so cold! When we set up our site I immediately rolled this out and climbed in and was almost immediately feeling better. This blanket is so thick and feels amazing inside of it! It’s also very roomy and while I could have shared with my husband I didn’t I kept it all to myself, lol! It was hard to get bank in the bag but if you roll it tight after folding it lengthwise in half you should be able to get it back in the compression bag relatively easily. I didn’t have an issue at all. The zipper worked great too! I only had a problem after I unzipped it all the way around. We had used to to lay on at the drum circle and when I went to zip it back up at the end of our trip it gave me some troubles but I was able to get it to go back together and pack it in. Just had to mess with it a bit. I definitely love this sleeping bag! I love how soft it is and it definitely kept me safe from the elements especially since I didnt have jeans! Read more

Longer than the average queen mattress have no issue fitting inside at 6 feet with some room to spare. Solidily made zippers feel durable and thick material is nice and feels like any other comforter in the inside. Warm but airy bag great for mild winters at most for cold rating but great for fall time ideal comfort without overheating and sweating inside. Feels comfy inside warm but not hot and stuffy you can fully entomb yourself by pulling the draw strings on the head pillow area and the body and wrap yourself up tight in colder weather like a cocoon. Packs up easy into small foot print for travel about the size of a standard backpack. Read more
