Doesn't work

Disappointing performance - especially with audio CDs
4 Stars may be a bit generous for this product - but it worked with DVDs and CDs and it had a display which is nice when using as a CD player when no monitor is available. The video quality is acceptable and the audio was OK - but the audio quality when playing good quality audio (music) CDs was not good. There was noticeable distortion in louder passages and loss of crispness at higher frequencies. But, for this price, you can't expect too much. The build seems cheap and the remote, while functional, is very "busy." This is not on my recommended list unless your need is very basic and would be used seldom for non-critical listening. Easy setup
This is a decent little DVD player. It hooked up, via HDMI cable, to my TV in a minute. Plugged it into mains power, inserted a DVD and played the movie. It has a "setup" screen available, but everything seemed to be set already. I looked through the menu, but didn't need to change anything. I like that it has a nice, flat, top and takes up minimal space while still being heavy enough to stay in one place. It comes with a remote that works ok, but must be pointed absolutely directly at the player to work. All in all, it works great! Hope this helps! Read more
