Don’t let its classification as a children's MP3 device fool you. I absolutely love this MP3 Player with Spotify and many other apps by Luoran. First of all, you can’t beat this price with this quality. 🤩 I purchased it to load my favorite songs from my micro SD cards, and it works like a charm! The ability to upload pictures, music, and files directly from my computer is an added bonus. And I love that I can access my Spotify account. I can't live without music! I highly recommend this player for anyone looking for a versatile and user-friendly device! I’m quite pleased with the battery life. However, the built-in speakers are not as impressive as those found in more expensive models. That said, I didn’t buy this unit for the sound quality. For a better audio experience at home, I connect my device to an external Bluetooth speaker. Additionally, the car speaker works wonderfully, making it easy to enjoy my favorite tunes on the go. I also reached out to the company with several questions, and I was impressed by their prompt and friendly responses. I learned I could add other apps for theirs are a little dated, and I learned how to put the micro SD chip in without fingernails. I need to keep mine short, working with ceramics. This is a complete piece of junk. I spent over 5 hours trying to get it set up for my son's birthday gift. I ended up doing 2 factory resets and then I had to install a newer version of spotify because what is on the device doesn't work, it kicks you out after seconds, over and over again. Installing a new app on this thing is insane. I had to pay for a transfer app and it was complicated and took hours to do it. Imagine my relief when I finally had the whole thing set up, wrapped it up, and gave it to my son for his late birthday gift. He was elated! He started listening to his favorite song and was 3 minutes into it when spotify kicked him out. And won't let us back in. He's totally deflated. Don't spend your money on this garbage. Read more
I am very happy with this kids' music device. It’s a fantastic solution to keep children entertained, especially because it allows using Spotify accounts and listening to music both online and offline. This makes it very versatile for trips, commuting between home and school, or just daily use. The screen is large and high-resolution, making it easy for kids to interact with the device quickly and intuitively. It’s very fast and easy to operate. Additionally, it has a memory slot to expand the storage, which is a great plus. It comes with all the necessary accessories: a protective cover, charger, and headphones, so it’s ready to use right out of the box. Originally, I bought 2 devices about 1.5 years ago. I had an issue with one of the devices, and I contacted Louran’s technical support. Their response was excellent: they replied promptly, suggested possible solutions, and although the problem couldn’t be fixed, they offered to replace the defective device. I decided to purchase the latest version, which is even better, and the company issued a full refund for the original device. Louran is truly a wonderful company in terms of customer support, and their devices have excellent technology for kids. It mostly does what I want it to do. The sleep timer is only used for the music app not the device itself so unfortunately there's no way to complete lock down the device for certain hours. If you're considering this basically look at it as a really, really crappy phone that can't make calls or take pictures. It runs on Android 9 and has some overlaid parental controls. You do have to be a little bit tech savvy to deal with some stuff like updating Spotify because you have to download an APK from your actual phone them send it over via Bluetooth. I'm not sure what version is shipped on them currently but mine was 8.7. something and I had to update it to use the new managed account feature. If you accidentally delete an app you have to factory reset the device to get it back which ultimately is a good thing so you don't need to have Google Play on it and risk your kids downloading apps. Like others have mentioned it's pretty slow but if all you're using it for is to run Spotify or Pandora for your kids, it's fine. Read more
This little MP3 player is perfect for my younger sons. It allows them to play music they like, without the expense and complexity of a smartphone. You can create a password to manage the device if you want to add or delete any of the apps that are on it. I ordered 2 for Christmas presents and one didn't work at all on arrival. However, as you can see, I have rated the product as 5 stars and that is because the customer service was amazing. I e-mailed them about the one that didn't work on the day after Christmas and got a response the very next day. They sent me a new device without question. The second device arrived in about 3-4 days and worked perfectly like the first one did. You can't find customer service like that anymore today. Amazing job. Read more
Edit: The seller reached out after my original (three-star) review. The customer service was excellent and I received a replacement since the errors we were experiencing were unusual. Changing rating because the product is good, and the company is exceptional. This is a nice starter MP3 for kids. The app selections are easily toggled on and off, and the battery life has been great so far. The main drawback is that if the player is turned on and off or powers down from low-battery, the allowed apps reset. Read more
