I love love this player I use it for music a lot and now I been using it at night to sleep and it helps me out a lot the small size is good and sound is great and the function of it is good and when I saw it for 17.95 I jumped on that and saved about of money of the new players are at the value of it is great and easy to use and the design is cute and flawless Only thing is to remember is not to have too many apps open at the same time as the unit will warm up back there I asked the company when I got it to see if it's normal and they said it's normal because it's android Other than that I have no complaints on this player and will be buying another one Update: I didn't know I bought this almost a year ago on November and it be November in a few months and the battery life on it still going strong and I use it mainly for sleep at night for a few hours at time and having draining it for a few days then I charge it back up I don't use it hard for running or doing exercises I used it for mainly sleep Bec I have problems sleeping at night so it's perfect for that And another thing is to keep in mind When you charge it try to take it out of the case that it comes in then after that you can put it back in It's easier for the product to "breath" Where it doesn't overheat in the back And don't have too many apps going at the same time Install a app called Kill apps and it will stop the background apps running so it saves on your battery That's all I can say on this cool mp3 player 💖😁🎵🎶🎶❤️🔥🔥🤘✌️🤘🤘✌️ Read more
Price Paid: $16 (May 24) It’s important to note that my review takes into consideration the ridiculously low price I paid for this. I use Mac/iOS, Windows, and Linux, in that order. While I’m sure that some of my IOT devices use Android, I thought that this Oilsky streaming music player would be a chance to get to know the OS better. The manual describes the device but there’s no Quick Start guide, so I charged it and then turned it on. Boot time is rather slow, and the OilSky runs Android 9.0. After connecting to WiFi I tried to upgrade the OS, but it was having none of that. A day later and I still haven’t figured that out. It does come with a nice TPU case and a fairly useless screen protector, which I discarded after two failed attempts at installing it (I’ve done dozens of screen protector installs). I created a dummy Gmail account (because I don’t fully trust the device) and started signing up for the various streaming services. No issues there. Next I tried to copy some music over to the device, but neither iOS nor Windows wanted to play nice. So I downloaded DropBox and copied some files that way, which was tedious. The next thing I did was to download an App called PairDrop from the Play Store, and proceeded to copy a couple of gigs of MP3’s to the device. Finally, I added a few other browsing, podcast, and video Apps from the store for typical internet chicanery. All told, I probably spent 6 hours getting everything set up, and am very happy with the results. There’s still several things I haven’t figured out, such as adding additional security, and upgrading the OS, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually. This reminds me of an old iPod Touch, but faster, better screen, and much cheaper. Do I need it? Not at all. I can fit all my Apps and music on my iPhone, so this is just an extra device. But I can cast from the Oilsky, play videos, listen to music and podcasts, and set it up to be a perfect travel accessory. I wouldn’t want to pay more than $50-$75 for one, but at $16 it’s an absolute bargain. 5 stars and highly recommended at this price. Read more
EDIT: after having this MP3 player for a little over a month I am so extremely happy with this purchase the battery lasts forever it's got great sound quality. my only drawback and this was something I had to change in the settings was it was set to shut off after 20 minutes of non-use. so there was several times I picked it up thinking something was wrong with it because it had shut off because of non-use. so if you want something that's going to always be on and you don't have to turn on all the time make sure you go into the settings and change the power options. So far this seems to be a great little mp3 player for the price, came fully charged, connected to my wifi with zero problems, was able to download my music from Amazon right away. Only major downside I've found so far is that the SD card doesn't seem to be working, like it shows me the internal memory and the empty SD card but when I try and move things to the SD card it tells me there isn't enough space. I'll try and move stuff from my computer to it this weekend. I also expected it to be a bit more purple in color whoever it's a really dark plum color that unless you look really close you would think it was black. Read more
