I thought this mat would be a little too thin to place under my weight bench, but the dimensions were perfect for the space, so I bought it anyway. The mat ended up being very high quality and perfect for my use. I mostly use dumbbells and the density of the mat is perfect for placing dumbbells down while protecting my hardwood floor. I would recommend going with a thicker mat if you work out with a barbell. The mat is very grippy and firm. It is not spongy like yoga mats. It stays in place very well. You can do high intensity workouts with shoes on without it moving. If you are into yoga, you might want to place a yoga mat on top of it for more cushion. I've had 2 of these in my home gym for a year and I'm about to get 2 more. No tears, no weakening in the cushion, no wear spots. Shoe scuffs wipe up easily if it gets bothersome (as you can see in the pic I'm unbothered...). There's little sliding. I like that I can wear shoes with them so I can work out safely with heavier weights. Worth the cost! I rarely leave reviews but I truly appreciated what a good product I got with these mats. This large exercise mat is exactly what I needed for my workout room. This particular size is great for a standing desk or bike trainer. It provides the perfect amount of cushion and grip for all types of exercises while not being too soft or flimsy. The value for money for this mat based on my searches exceeds all competitors. The number of sizes available are perfect for building out a complete workout room without any renovations. I have discovered the fantastic hobby of working out at home since COVID, and it’s really improved my life. But, my window to do this is super early, before my kids wake up. This is problematic because exercising is not a quiet activity. This mat is awesome because I can jump, lift, do sumo jacks, etc. quietly in my little house! The mat has also helped to protect my knees and hips. I like it for the traction, as well - so much easier to do push-ups on the mat, compared to my wood floors. It’s been a true life-saver! This mat is the perfect thickness and material for working out. I've worked out on it a few times and it doesn't budge with jumping movements. It is easy to wipe off sweat on the mat with the towel provided. The jumprope is a perfect length for me (I'm 5'10"). I watch workout videos on my TV and use this mat. I've been leaving it rolled out on my living room floor in front of the TV and just roll my rug back over it after I clean it. Prior to this, I was just using a yoga mat, but this is so much better because I don't have to worry about jumping off of it or it sliding around. It's a great mat, I highly recommend it! Read more
