I want to like this scan tool, but the PAYWALL is really a sticking point for me. If I buy a tool, it should be fully functional. If I want to update it later, sure I understand paying for the update. But not when I buy something that is advertising functions only to find out after receiving it, those functions only work if I PAY MORE. No! I hate this business model. So be aware it will cost you and ADDITIONAL $120 to make this tool do more than basic functions and since it is not a major brand, your future support is almost certainly non-existent. I do not recommend on the principle of PAYWALLS. Read more
Does most of what I need. Haven't been able to do a forced re-gen on my DPF/DEF system. Read more
I’m not a mechanic. However, I always appreciate tools that help keep me out of a repair shop. I know there are tons of OBD-2 scanners on the market. This one appears to be on the middle range. It has some nice features. First, the touchscreen is nice, but it tends to be a bit laggy. I used the function buttons more often than not. Secondly, it is upgradable. If you are a serious mechanic or just a weekend warrior, there are software packages that you can purchase for more diagnostic information. I did not purchase that. It connected to WiFi seamlessly, and immediately prompted me to download an update. So, it does stay on top of firmware. That’s a good sign. So, I would recommend this unit if you want a device to help you with car maintenance. It may be more than what a standard consumer needs, but a person with mechanical experience may love this! Both my brother and I are both mechanics. He has a Snap-on scanner that he paid thousands for I’ve been needing a scanner but I have retired from working so when I came across this, I just wanted something basic this scanner does some amazing stuff not as good as a Snap-on but much better than an AutoZone one! For anyone who needs an OBD two scanner I highly recommend that the screen is beyond large, much bigger than I thought it would be. Everything is very easy to understand, was easy to hook up into the vehicle, and find everything about the vehicle within seconds. Highly recommend. Read more
When I first used this product I was worried because I couldn't get past the language screen, it just kept reappearing. I then reset the device and ever since it has worked perfectly. I used it on my 06 Pontiac and it helped me diagnose an EVAP problem with my gas cap. This device is better than most I have used in the past because it allows you to search google to understand what the error codes and problems with the car mean. Overall this is a very good deal for a useful product! Read more

I'm a bit of a shade tree mechanic and have a few other "consumer grade" scanners that I have used in the past. This one is nice and has lots of features, but the big downside is that in order to do much other than read some codes, you need to purchase extra options. Even basic things like trying to reset a service light costs extra. Good for what it does I suppose, but the fact you need to pay quite a bit to do anything useful is a bit off-putting. Read more
This is a nice scanner. Ruggedized case is nice for this kind of scanner. Unit is responsive and color touch screen is nice + physical buttons in case you have non-conductive gloves on or are super greasy. Scanner includes the typical things you need for passing emissions / smog tests - including reading DTCs, checking test status, viewing live sensor data, clearing codes, etc. Connecting to wifi you can look up codes online, etc. Software upgrades are easily performed over wifi. The scanner also supports other diagnostics packages. On one of the product pictures, they do mention each package (ABS, SRS, TCM, ECM) are an additional $40 each (one time). It would be best if this were described in the product description. It is nice it can support these features, but it was a little surprising to hit the paywall when testing the product. To be fair, it is mentioned in a product picture. Even though I don't love the paywall, if you are looking for an OBD2 emissions scanner, this is a nice unit. It is also nice that it can be upgraded to support other features if needed. I marked it down a star for the paywall not being included in the description, but overall a nice unit. Read more
