Here's my experience with kinesiology tape: while in the midst of rehabbing from a knee replacement, I thought I might try some support tape to help with the pain during and after physical therapy, and to assist with mobility and proper alignment. While at a chain off-price retailer, I spotted a box of KT tape that was marked at a significant discount to what I had noted it sold for where I normally shop. So I thought I'd give it a try, and it helped. When I needed a second box, however, I couldn't find it at the same store, but instead found a box of Mueller tape, so I bought it instead. I think the Mueller tape is considerably better, as others here have noted. For one thing, it stretches better and stays put better. The support is great; although I will note that I don't use the knee-taping technique in the Mueller instructions, I still use the KT- method, which I just find easier. I think the difference with the Mueller tape is you will notice a wavy-line pattern on the adhesive side of the tape, which I think makes it stay on better. It is very comfortable once on; I'm wearing it right now as I type this, and I don't even feel it. I don't leave it on more than one day; I'd rather remove it to shower and put on fresh tape the next day, so I don't wear it at night, although I suppose you could. I tried wearing it once when I went lap-swimming, but it started coming off after a few laps, so I can't recommend it for that. But otherwise, it's been very helpful for me. It can be a little tough to remove (like a stuck-on band-aid), and being female, I shave my legs. So I imagine guys would want to shave before using this anywhere they have much body hair. I should also note that Mueller is a more cost-effective product than the KT brand, in my experience. Read more

It works VERY well on my knees (patellar tracking issues). Greatly reduced pain and flexible enough to do the activities I love. I find it sticks well and lasts 3-4 days, even with showers and hard physical activity. The only thing that really reduces adhesion is bug spray. If it's not sticking well for you: prepare the skin by wiping thoroughly with alcohol. Then use a "Skin Prep" wipe to apply adhesive and protect the skin. Let dry a few seconds before applying the Mueller tape. Skin Prep is intended to create an adhesive bond with the application and protect the skin. When removing, start with a corner that's coming loose. Use a "Uni-Solve" pad to gradually soak the tape off, then if you are going to reapply the Mueller tape, clean thoroughly with alcohol, then use "Skin Prep" again. I learned this method of adhering when I had a medical port that required dressing changes. Both "Skin Prep" and "Uni-Solve" are available here on Amazon, and I also suggest getting large size alcohol wipes. In addition, I have also cut small squares of Mueller tape that I put on over edges that come loose as I'm biking, etc. It's worth all this trouble--and it's also worth the questions and stares I get from people about the tape on my knees. Life is short, I want to do things. Read more

This stuff is the best kinesio tape for the price. I use to buy KT tape ($20+ a roll) because it comes in fun colors and had a reputation for staying on for extended period of time, even during swimming. but that stuff doesn't even come close to this. - First off I can find this at any Walgreens when I run out, which is great if I need it right away. - Second, the adhesive unbelievable. I wipe down the parts to be taped with alcohol, apply the tape, and rub it in to make sure it adheres. The ends never fray or start rolling off like they do with KT tape. - Third, it stays put for a LONG time. I think the longest I've worn the tape is 10 consecutive days and it didn't budge once. I shower with the tape on, being careful about not getting soap on the tape, and it dries within minutes after I'm out. - Fourth, the price is ridiculous compared to the competitors. Its affordable and the roll lasts a decent amount of time because I don't have to keep re-applying it. Kinesio tape is amazing stuff if you know what you're doing (I learned how to apply it by watching a lot of youtube videos) and it can provide instant relief form pain. I highly recommend this. does the job. I've not used a lot of similar products so don't have a comparison. I'm using this to keep my middle toes taped together per the drs instructions. Usually have to replace every 3 days. It gets looser every day--not sure if that's just normal relaxation, or from getting wet--it does seem to get looser as soon as I've been in the shower. And it's the stretchiness that increases--the adhesion is fine. you need to take the backing paper and rub the tape down briskly to create some heat--if you do it adheres and stays on well. Read more

I’ve tried other brands and none compare to Muellers for adhesion, strength, durability, and waterproofing! You can SWIM, sweat, take a shower, and this tape will stay put until you take it off! It’s not hard to remove—just soap it throughly and gently lift a corner and it comes off. I’m very sensitive to adhesive tape—some tape I’m allergic too, makes my skin raw, or pulls off my skin—not Muellers! Muellers doesn’t irritate my skin. I’m a fitness instructor so I use this often on myself and my clients—works great! Read more
