This bottle is great because my daughter won’t use any other one but this one & the purple version that I found at Target. It’s design that makes her happy and seek it out. It’s easy for her to hold. The only issue I have is cleaning the suction part, it’s very difficult and you Must use a brush. Also, if you remove the ring around the inside of the cap for cleaning it’s very difficult to re-insert it, and improper placement can and does cause leaking (a lot of it). Once I figured it out it’s been okay, but the other adults in our lives with regular contact to my daughter’s bottle struggle with it after months, and still haven’t figured out that portion well. We just got this cup today and I have to say it is a well made sippy! I love that it doesn’t have a ton of plastic, the body of the cup itself is stainless steel and the straw is BPA free. The handles and straw can easily be removed for cleaning and so far the cup appears to be leak proof. Con: I was wondering why my little one was stopping and taking breathes in between each suck/swallow so I gave it a try. Wowza, the cup is HARD to drink from because of the leak proof seal! I decided to take a large wooden kabob stick and push it through the air valve located just above the plastic straw (see photo). I pushed the stick through the air valve - like needle and thread - pulling it out the other side. I did this three times to stretch the value so air can more easily enter the cup while drinking. SO MUCH BETTER! The diameter of the stick did not stretch the valve too much. It is still leak proof, wahoo! Special note: Do not push the stick into the valve and pull out in the same direction. This will cause the valve to invert its direction and not be as effective. Read more

I recently purchased the Munchkin Cool Cat Toddler Sippy Cup for my little brother, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I bought this cup for my 12 month old to use on the go because I wanted something leak proof instead of a regular straw cup with a lid. At home we use open cups and straws, no sippy cups. This works perfectly for us. My toddler was able to easily transition from the regular straw to this one, and just needed a few initial tries to learn how to sip from it because it does require a little more effort than a regular straw. It is spill proof when it is thrown and it is stainless steel on the inside of the cup with a plastic/silicone straw. Cold water stays cold for hours. The lid, handle and cup come apart for easy cleaning. Because it is leak proof a little bit of the liquid can get stuck in the upper part of the straw so I recommend using a straw brush to clean it regularly when washing out the rest of the cup. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy but that is to be expected with an insulated stainless steel cup. Read more

At first I absolutely loved this water bottle. It’s stainless steel and my toddler was quickly able to learn how to use the straw. Unfortunately, this is our second bottle and the second time the inner seal has started to come loose. If you don’t catch it, your spill proof bottle will suddenly be leaving puddles anywhere your little one sets it down. It isn’t easy to get it back in place and while this one just started after having it for only two months, I know once it starts happening it becomes a regular issue. I’m really disappointed as it’s such a great design otherwise and also because they don’t sell replacement tops. And to add to that, I switched back to the first one I had bought in the spring and the top straw part split this afternoon while he was having a drink! I’ve only hand washed it. Disappointing that the life of the straws are so short for a stainless steel bottle that could last for years. Read more

My almost 15-month old can drink from regular cups, but we've given him only the Munchkin 360 Trainer Cup at home because we got tired of the spills. So when we got him this travel thermo, he was very excited to have something new, and played with opening & closing the lid using the button for a long while. But the first day of use, I lost the straw when I took it apart for cleaning. LO was terribly disappointed, and I ended up writing to Munchkin, and they sent me a replacement straw promptly for free! I am grateful for Munchkin's terrific customer service. There is leakage issue if the lid is not screwed on just right into the groove, but if assembled properly, insulation is great. Also, the parts are a bit of pain to wash & dry, and I can never tell if I got the nooks inside the drinking part of the spout cleaned well enough, so we'll probably use it only with water. We are overall very happy with this cup, and will likely purchase again if the cup is somehow lost. Read more
